Booked a king room got our key and went upstairs the bed was a full. Went down to talk to them to find out they gave out all the king rooms and the last available had a very loud air conditioner. Went to the room to hear for ourselves and the air conditioner was so loud I couldn't hear the NY traffic from the 3rd floor (which you can easily hear when the air conditioning was off). Went back down to the lobby and was given a queen room, but the bathroom was the size of a closet. My knees touched the wall from the toilet and I had straddle the toilet to close the bathroom door. Also the water never got hot in the shower

love the location - so close to times square and multiple theatres for broadway shows. room was spacious but the air conditioning didn't work on one side of the room. front desk kindly offered to fix it in the morning, but it honestly wasn't too hot so we didn't need it fixed during our stay. all the staff were so nice! have to pay $3 per bag when storing luggage after check out.

The room showed wear & tear should try to keep things up a little better. Window sill had been repaired but not properly & not repainted. Chest of drawers wasn’t in very good condition. Bathroom door was in bad shape — hinges, hook fell and not replaced, bottom of door was damaged & toilet paper roll loose. First time we stayed there in April with family & rent 2 rooms they were in better condition.

There is nothing good about this hotel. Room is very small, no refrigerator, washroom is very small, not good at all. Their lift is also very poor and only one lift in operation. To go to room,it takes 10 minutes to wait!! And to go down same process!! And check out, they have taken my $100 deposit, saying that it's tax!! I have paid every cost to you. Then this is cheating!!! I will never suggest anyone to go to this hotel And you also have not informed me well regarding all this. No break fast provided.

The room was a lot smaller than the picture, the AC worked very poor, the room wasn’t very clean and the elevator took very long and we ended up only using the stairs. Wouldn’t recommend.

This stay was a nightmare. Although one good thing, the front desk was polite, although not super quick to accommodate. Down to the juice now - from filthy carpets in the common area to smelly smoky room (in a non-smoking hotel), smell was masked with an even smellier cheap Cologne, which was sickening, hand soap was missing in the dispenser in the bathroom, and cherry on top - removal of the asphalt the entire night in front of the hotel, which included hell-like drilling noise. It felt like a concentration camp where a prisoner is tortured by sound. If I knew this would be the case I’d rather spend the night at the airport sitting up, it would be more comfortable. If I could give it a negative 5 star, I would. After I complained at midnight, that's about an hour after the noise had started I was told there was no rooms available to move me away from noise. After I called second time and said I want a refund because of such disturbance and that I will leave a bad review, I was told to contact Expedia. Then they called me back offering another room at 2 am. I moved to another room, which was quiet, just having to get up to go to the airport at 5 am. The front desk clerk told me the manager of the hotel didn’t know that there will be work at the front door of the hotel, which I have a hard time believing. I wish I could attach the video of the noise from the work beneath my window, the room was shaking. No paying customer should be put in conditions like that!

Elevator(s) run extremely slow. Out of three, one was usually operational. Bed comfort was 5/10. We needed an iron one day, and it took housekeeping 30-40 minutes to deliver. Spend a little extra and go elsewhere.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!! This landmark building is a New York staple. In the heart of Times Square. I've stayed here many times and i will keep coming back!!! Yes rooms are small, but this is an old building, Yes its noisy, but you're in NEW YORK. Rooms are VERY BASIC. Bed is comfortable. Towels are abundant. What more do you really need??? For the price...... BOOK NOW!!

Excellent location & clean. unfortunately only 2 working tiny elevators so long waits in hot corridors. no A/C in the hallways or elevators made for some scorching waiting to get up & down from our room.
