The room was clean. They seem to be housing people who belong in a nursing home. One hallway smelled like sewage. And they share the same bathroom in the hallway. One older woman I saw in the hall look like a monster from a horror movie, it's pretty sad.

A hidden gem
I love this little gem I just discovered. Lots of much needed renovations happening but still a gem. I slept like a baby here. I’m staying again this coming weekend It’s a bit of a walk to the closet subway station but the neighborhood is so lovely and quaint you don’t realize it

The hotel is in remodeling. The new area is not open and I hope it can keep part of the original spirit. Times are changing. So I would be surprise if it disappear it’s low budget bunk bed design for a more open space and more expensive size. I might not return as even my partner was not happy with the setting.

The venture capital company who buy properties like this and then rack up rates are pure evil. The Jane Hotel has been under renovations for 2 years, and still plastic is on the hallway floors. The twin bed rooms are like a railway sleeper in size.

Great! stay the smallest bunk rooms are very small but they're the cheapest around and we were barely in the room as we were out and the world. Staff was great and very helpful.

About an 8 minute walk from the subway. Hotel is easy to locate. Very kind reception staff. One elevator. I stayed here on a slightly warmer, rainy weekend. Most of the hotel had a bit of a musty odor to it. Not sure if that was because of the weather or if that’s typical. Room electricity is controlled by key which unfortunately meant that the air had to sit still while I was out all day. There is a powerful, loud fan in the room and a weak air conditioning unit. Bathrooms are clean and have a college dorm feel. Two toilets, two sinks, and two showers for an entire floor of 30 or so rooms but fortunately I never had to wait. Don’t forget your shower shoes! Overall it’s definitely worth the price being one of the more reasonably priced hotels in the city and if all you need is a bed and a shower then this is a fine accommodation. I felt very safe in this property.
