Our second time staying at the Kitano. It’s now our “go to “ hotel for New York. The hotel is understated, quiet, immaculate and has an attentive staff. Easy walk from Grand Central Station. We stayed two nights and each time re returned the doorman greeted us with “Welcome back.” Beds are in the Goldilocks zone for us, not too soft , not too firm. Bathrooms are compact but the Toto bidets are fantastic. Service in the cafe was good. Prices are high but we expected it from a luxury hotel in midtown Manhattan.

All staff very hospitable. Good space in my room. Found it difficult to regulate hot water in the shower…too hot at first, turned it down but could not get it back to hot water. But…really loved the quiet elegance and the neighborhood is excellent. I will be back.

Beautiful property. Breakfast offering and staff are amazing. Special mention for Oleg at the front desk. He personifies hospitality. On our return back from abroad he welcomed us by name after only meeting us for the first time 7 days prior. After a long trip what a beautiful way to check in.
