staff is warm and helpful, facilities are super clean. Vibe is more European hostel than NYC hotel which is refreshing. Would stay again.
Note on Breakfast: yes it is quite a spread - eggs, potatoes, meat, empanadas- and would be delicious if it wasn’t cold! (was cold even when we arrived as they opened at 6:30a)
Staff seemed unaware that chafing dishes need to be heated, sternos lit and brought up to temp BEFORE the food is added.

We prepaid but when you get to the property you are informed of an additional $25 daily for breakfast and WiFi use. If you want to park that’s an additional daily fee. None of this was communicated prior and you can’t decline the fee even if you don’t use the WIFI or eat the breakfast.
Great little place! Chosen as it is close to the Brooklyn cruise terminal. Close to local shops, cafes and restaurants. Subway about 18 minutes' walk. Not fancy but breakfast is included! Would recommend it.

After traveling the whole day and throwing up on two planes, when I finally got to the hotel they informed me that they have NO record of my reservation and said that there are no rooms left at the hotel.
They said that my booking with Expedia didn’t go through to the hotel, even though I was charged $320.31 CA on Nov 13, 2024.
After waiting an hour they found a room and had to cancel another reservation with another person & I felt terrible that another person is going to have their life affected because Expedia and The Lodge Red Hook hotel aren’t communicating effectively.
I will NEVER book with Expedia again..

Very nice, clean room and a very comfortable bed with nice linens.
The hotel had great amenities, comfortable beds, quiet and safe environments. We had a great sleep at night. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. It was clean room. Breakfast was free and delicious with plenty of choices. The only downside was the subway is not short walking distance but you can always ride Uber or Lyft. Overall we were happy with our stay.
All of the bath towels in my room had brown/orange stains on them and/or hair. When I arrived at my room, I heard screaming and a toilet flush. I went to get a new room assignment but turns out someone from the hotel staff was in my room. She left, but a few minutes later returned and unlocked and opened the door without knocking to check something in the bathroom. This was a decent location and parking was convenient - but unclean amenities and privacy violations make this hotel a “gotta pass” in my book.
