I like the Lucerne a lot!

Traveling solo or with my husband, I always feel comfortable at the Lucerne. From the doormen to the front desk to the staff-- all welcoming and helpful.

This hotel was conveniently located to subway station, restaurants and other shopping. It was on a pretty quiet street and the room was clean and housekeeping was always done early in the day. Will definitely stay here again. We ate breakfast at the restaurant next door twice and the discount was an added bonus.

I will only stay at the Lucerne while visiting New York. I have been staying at the Lucerne for over 25 years. The location, the staff, Patrick the Doorman, are all a home away from home especially after a day of activities in the city. I only recommend the Lucerne Hotelto family and friends.

Location is great (right next to subway, many restaurants on Amsterdam Ave.). Hotel room is very clean. Staff friendly. Some shortcomings: no microwave or small refrigerator; a knocking sound in the wall, but not too loud (old pipe perhaps).
