We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. It took a bit to find because the signage isn't the best. We saw the flowers and sign for the psychic but missed the small hotel 27 sign and had to call the front desk. The room was very small but to be expected in nyc. Location is amazing! Away from the hustle and bustle but close to everything. Loved the mini fridge and microwave. Also, amazing to have a fire stick to stream.

The front desk staff was great. The room was small, dirty windows, dirty floor, no hot water had to leave showering running for 15-30 mins. Towels smelled of chemicals and when booking there was free breakfast adverstised but no free breakfast was available.

Staff was very friendly. The hotel itself was pretty average. Elevators were a little sketchy and the bed felt like sleeping on a pullout couch. The shower had no curtain, only half glass panel which was just odd and messy. I feel for the amount of money we paid, we could have found a better hotel.

Really awful stay at Hotel27. The standard room was tiny, barely enough room for the bed and a table. When we arrived the TV wasn't working and because it was evening there was no one to come and fix it. The aircon unit was very noisy all night - it was next to the bed and we got hardly any sleep. And when we tried to have a shower in the morning the water was cold. Also the windows were filthy and there were many small flies in the shower. Turns out the water was OK, just had had to wait a very long time for hot water to come through the pipes (but we didn't know that). The engineer replaced the firestick which was used with the TV, but the new one had mainly UK apps which are not accessible in the US. This is a budget hotel but even so it was terrible.
