Came for Christmas Eve with my family. We booked two suites. The heat in one of the suites malfunctioned during the night. My husband and I woke up at 3:30am to a room that was 80 degrees! Tried turning the heat down to 66 degrees and hoped that would resolve it. By 4:45am it was 84 degrees!! Called the front desk, they said to just turn the heat off, it’s an “older building” and someone could come in the morning. Sleeping in 84 degrees temperature is not comfortable. I could not sleep at all. Called back at 8am, they said they would send someone. By 11am we were checking out, no one had arrived to look at the heat. Spoke with the front desk and they seemed to more question why I didn’t call sooner. I explained that I’d called twice. Also the fact that I did recognize it’s Christmas Day, and maybe staff wasn’t available but that this was extremely uncomfortable and sadly, probably the worst hotel stay I’d ever had due to the heat. They offered us a $40 Amazon gift card in lieu of the awful experience. I expressed that $40 really didn’t seem appropriate, the manager said he “sincerely apologized” but that was the best he could do. We had a great time in NYC with our family, but the hotel stay was disappointing and we do not feel the hotel did what they should have to make it right.

We stayed at this property for three nights in a one bedroom. The Manhattan club is in an excellent location. We came for all the Christmas festivities and it was close to it all. The staff are amazing and the rooms are well laid out and very clean. I would highly recommend.
