Great hotel in Chelsea
Nice hotel with a great location within a block of many subway lines and close to the Chelsea Market & the Highline. Rooms were decent size for NYC. The lobby was great space for meeting up with the rest of our group. Only critique is that the pillows were really flat and bed was a little hard, but that could be just my personal preference.

Loved the location, the staff, the amenities, the only comment I would have is the hotel has obviously done a great job at upgrading and keeping the hotel relevant...except the beds are still old...would be nice to have a comfy mattress...otherwise awesome!

I LOVED the decor and vibe. The staff was super friendly and helpful. My issues were-- 1. there's no usb plugins that are pretty standard in hotels these days. There was one in our room, but it didn't seem to work so my phone died. 2. they say there's "room service" from the restaurant underneath the hotel. It is NOT room service-- it is to go. We were quite dissapointed. ANd it cost an insane amount for being to go food. I mean, $170 for 2 people (we ate a lot, but still) for to go food in tons of plastic with plastic forks. And, it should not be advertised as room service because it's not. I would have gotten food elsewhere if I had known. Also, the continental breakfast was kind of like motel ones I have had. so. to summarize---hotel lovely, food not good.

Our 2-day stay over New Years also included our 30th wedding anniversary, so we were hoping our first visit to The Maritime would be perfect!...and it was! From our initial greeting at the front desk (the friendliest and most accommodating staff ever), to our clean and well-appointed room (the Maritime spa robes were a lovely touch), to the delicious complimentary continental breakfast (at The Catch restaurant--amazing dinner as well!) our stay was completely comfortable and memorable.

Exceptional staff, cute hotel, perfect location.
Lovely cute hotel. What makes it particularly nice though is the staff. They went out of their way to make sure we were happy and comfortable and had what we needed. It’s in a beautiful neighborhood directly across from the chelsea market and just a block from the high line. This was an exceptional find, and will be my go to any time I need to stay in this part of the city.
