I loved my stay here and will definitely return. The staff is amazing and even though the property was sold out, it didn’t feel busy. No long lines or delayed check-in was a huge bonus. Yes, it could use a refresh, but the patina adds a certain character that you cannot duplicate. This will be my go to place in New York City.

The staff were very helpful and personable. We especially liked our doorman, Teodoro. He was the best. Close to all the sites. Very clean and spacious for NYC. We didn't eat at the lounge, but food was available. Also room service was available for lunch and dinner. Elegant decor and very comfortable furnishings. Would definitely recommend. Fast elevators even during the holiday weekend. The convenience fee was a bit steep, but expected in NYC. 2 courtesy bottles of water per day provided. Our phone in the room was beeping and they sent maintenance up to fix it within 10 minutes. The blackout curtains still let in some light. The rooms being soundproof don't count for the windows. Lots of outside noise still comes in, but most noise stops by midnight.

Very good place for convenience. The room is very large and clean. Staff is kind and nice. It’s not sad that the piano at lobby can not be played, and the bed mattress is too much soft, which is not good for backbone health.

Very conveniently located 4 blocks from Time square and 8 blocks from Central park. Beautiful rooms, rapid access to transportation, very nice staff, very clean environment, fantastic restaurant, and even some evening in her attainment with a terrific singer and pianist duo. One of our favorite places to stay in New York. We will definitely be back.

Michelangelo team makes all the difference
We have stayed at the Michelangelo more times that we can count. Beyond its perfect location for a Theatre District visit to NYC, the never-changing hospitality and comfortable accommodations have merited our loyalty. Cesar will meet you at the door and Henry will make sure you needs are met--both are longtime employees and the essence of friendly hospitality. These are some of the largest rooms in Midtown. Many fine restaurants nearby and public transportation is easily accessed. But, for us, the bottom line is that we always feel welcome and valued by the Michelangelo team. And we'll be back for our annual visit next year.

We always stay at the Michelangelo on our annual visit to NYC. The staff are wonderful from the front door to the front desk and beyond. We love the location and prefer a smaller hotel. A few upgrades are needed but it will continue to be our New York home away from home.

hotel used to be elegant now it's run down and if you look closely EVERYTHING Needs updating and painting and fabrics are soiled and ripped and carpets are filthy especially in the lobby the fabric on the wall in the lobby and bar are stained and filthy but the worst are THE MATRESSES …soggy and dented and lumpy and we had to see four rooms before we slept on one that was less than average and it cost me 1700 canadian dollars with tax and fees for 2 NIGHTS!!! My daughter’s rollaway mattress which they had the nerve to charge me for had a better mattress than the king size bed in our suite NOT WORTH THE MONEY AT ALL!!! VERY VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING and it’s a shame because the rooms are large and it used to be such a lovely hotel The managers and front desk staff were lovely but they couldn’t make the obvious go away I was sad that it wasn’t better
