No fridge or in room coffee maker anymore. Bathroom was old and falling apart. Pillows were small and no filling in them. Room was very small and lots or road noise on the 28th floor.

Our room didn't have good water pressure in the shower. However the bathroom was very clean and the water was nice and hot. Great view of the Empire State Building from our window! Absolutely courteous and helpful staff. The wonderful TIC-TOC diner is accessible from the lobby and is open 24 hours. The New Yorker is an historic Art Deco building that reminded of the bustling days of that period. The inventor Tesla spent 10 years living in the hotel and his rooms are available to rent!

The New Yorker is the perfect location for a New York holiday. You can walk or use the subway which is opposite the Hotel. Love the Tick Tock Diner for my daily breakfast too.

Employee need more training specifically front desk. The room are very dusty. Carpet dirty in the hallway and room. They double charged you twice. It’s no refrigerator or coffee machine in the room, no breakfast included. Will never come back again very disappointed with specialty service.

Hotel is located in the perfect spot if you’re going to an event at Madison Square Garden. Parking is down the street, $50 for every 24 hours. You’ll need to get your parking ticket stamped at the front desk before you leave to receive the discount. It was a bit congested trying to walk from the garage to the hotel with baggage due to the amount of people and construction in the area. Hotel itself was great, front lobby is beautiful and the rooms are decent. I stayed for one night so it had what I needed so I am satisfied with my experience.

This was a memorable experience! The hotel has character both inside and out. It's like stepping into the glamour of the past. Nostalgic. The staff is friendly and went the extra step to make sure the stay lived up to hopes for a fabulous visit to New York City. Always felt secure in the hotel. Easy walking distance to Empire State Building, Broadway shows, stores, restaurants, subway. Great price. Wish I had discovered this gem years ago.

The property is within walking distance of shops, restaurants and parks. Even Times Square and Central Park if you enjoy walking like I do. The hotel is clean, and the staff are personable and answer any questions. The security is the best 👍 which makes you feel safe. This is the hotel I always book when I visit New York.

The property has to be considered as an old hotel, it is clean and the staff are really friendly, the location is close enough to just about everything. I do recommend this hotel to others just the history of it alone is a treat.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is older so the rooms are small but we slept like babies because of the quiet surroundings (even in Manhattan). Everything was walkable and the in house diner is a great spot for food anytime!

Great place near Penn Station/MSG
Chose The New Yorker for its proximity to Penn Station, and ease of getting to the theater district and to Citifield for the Mets game. The room was clean and comfortable, we were to check in early. The Tick Tock Diner was a great place to have breakfast (I had eaten there *many* years ago and liked it). Our room also had a nice view of MSG. Will stay there again.
