I discovered this sweet small retreat in May of this year. This is my 3rd stay here. It is very comfortable. Close to public transportation and very quiet. There is a Whole Foods store 2 blocks north! A New York Deli 2 1/2 blocks west. And awesome Chinese Food 2 blocks south! It is the perfect place to stay when you’re traveling alone. It would not work if you were traveling with a close friend or love interest! Perhaps, the owner could make a section of this facility for lovers???? Kraige Block

The loosely cris crossed ceiling feels unsafe. Eating inside the room is prohibited. The efforts to make it look safe by not using actual keys or keycard but rather two sets of number combinations sent thru phone is inconvenient. What was sent to mine was different to what combination that actually worked. Sofa upholstery was way too old and stained. Stairs are very steep. No elevator. Housekeeping- no English.

It can be quiet during the day but not so during the night when you need to get some sleep. Adjacent guests were making a lot of noise despite advisories to be quiet or a penalty can be imposed.

There are no ceilings above the rooms just a wooden lattice similar to a lattice fence from Home Depot. This means you hear everyone that passes by your door. There are rules, like no audible music or talking. But of course one fool insisted on talking from 1am to 2am on the phone, maybe 3 cubicles down from me. The place needs go close down for renovations to solve these issues. and better enforcement of rules would help. Just avoid this place.
