I enjoy my staying here, it was comfortable enough to sleep, taking a shower and relax, it's a little noisy and a little dirty but is cheap and convinient
This is the first time I’ve stayed at this hostel and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it is! The common spaces are beautiful and I spent a lot of time in the common area on the women’s floor. My only complaint is that it got really hot in my room and it made it a little hard to sleep. Otherwise, I really enjoyed my stay and I’ll happily stay here again! :)

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
If you are looking for a place to lay your head at night this is a great place. Staff is great, room was clean. Only downside is it is super loud in there. The ceiling is open so you can hear everyone in the dorm with you. The walls are super thin so you can hear walking, whispering, pretty much any of the smallest sounds. Don’t expect to get any sleep here. Other than that location is great, list of stuff around. Staff very friendly
Stays at hostels are challenging for Americans with very thin wall in this one. The snoring can be quite loud along with conversations in the common spaces just outside the bed cells.
I was confused on how to check in at first because I just got off of a long trip to get there. I was tired and ready to go to bed so I gave a bad review (which you guys should ignore). But once somebody realized I was in distress and helped me check in, I was GREAT!!! I TRULY enjoyed my stay so much. The location was right on point!! The price was SUPER affordable and the neighborhood was pretty AND safe!!! From here on our, when I come to Manhattan, I'm staying at the NOLITA EXPRESS!!!
Basic accommodation, unable to make noise in pods, however, great price. Considering the price it was great!

Disliked: Cleanliness
Hostile had nice seating areas lounging area decorated nicely, but they only have one male bathroom one toilet for the whole floor and only two showers plus the walls are very thin and they only go up 8 feet or so and there’s no ceiling except for a cloth and you can hear people coughing rummaging through their belongings phones going off throughout the night slamming doors. People were not considerate. I had scheduled four nights there. I left the first night because the person next to me was coughing and sneezing I ended up getting hostile at US hotel 106 Bower St. Very quiet there slept like a baby more bathrooms available bigger showers the staff though was very nice and helpful and professional I will not stay here again
It’s the type of place that you never want to checkout of.
I can’t wait to visit the city, again. I am definitely going to book this place. I never even got to take advantage of all that I wanted to. This place is perfect; especially, if you are in need of quiet time & a space away from the people in your life & all of the drama that they bring.
Thanks Nolita! ;)

It was very clean. I was on the 4th but spent time on the 3rd. The male person that worked did come into the womens area, and looked at me crazy when i told him it was womens only. It was rude (dark skin black guy with short twist hair). I would stay here again if I couldnt find anyplace else. Didnt like the 4 flights of stairs no elevators, but all was doable.
I was charged an extra $50 at check in. The co-ed "rooms" are a hallway row of padlocked closets with a "mattress" on a steel bed frame. The ceiling is lattice fence covered in burlap material. There is no noise/ talking & headphones must be used on devices or be charged a $100 noise fee. No food or drink allowed in "room". The common area is folks sleeping in chairs and sofa to be out of their claustrophobic enclosures. The mens bathroom has 1 toilet stall which is ironically larger than your room. Next to it are 2 narrow shower spaces with thin plastic curtains across from two small sinks and 2 small mirrors. Absolutely no privacy especially when theres a line behind you or your having to wait in line.
Book at another hostel/ hotel. This one is noth woth the time or money
I’ve stayed in several hostels and this one far exceeded my expectations. The smallness of the room was totally fine! Bathrooms always clean. Nice kitchen was also clean. Felt very safe there. Loved being on the female only floor. Comfortable sitting in the living room in my pajamas!
