Disliked: Amenities
Flooded bathroom - daily. No air conditioning- unbearably hot. Noisier than a frat house. Worst place I have ever stayed in my entire life.
Areas aren’t cleaned, lounge area stayed unclean for the entire weeks stay, questionable if the commons areas were reset or cleaned each day.

Disliked: Amenities
Overall the place is older and the level of cleanliness could be improved. The rooms get reset but the sheets and items left for use are questionable if they’re cleaned for the next occupant. Bathrooms seem clean but issue with the toilet paper dispensers they use that are sofpull so you’re lucky if you get any toilet paper to wipe yourself before it gets stuck - it’s horrible. The draining system caused several backups in both the sinks in the women’s cabins along with a toilet overflowing. Overall this place felt really uncomfortable and it’s on the low end of liklihood recommending here to anyone else.
For a solo traveler, this is a big step up from a hostel dorm bed. Great location! The common spaces are charming and comfortable. All the basics — bed, linens, shared bathrooms — are good, not great.
The property is quaint, especially when you consider it's history. I felt safe in my room that had two locks inside. However, even as someone with bilateral hearing loss, it is very noisy. Not sure why, but is was super hot in my cubicle. Uncomfortably so. Would stay again if it were under 100 dollars.
I was looking for something conveniently located and cheap- this definitely did the trick! This is a great option for solo travellers for 1-2 nights. The staff was lovely and helpful! The outlet in my room didn’t work so the front desk associate set me up with an extension cord! Although that didn’t really work either, I appreciated the assistance. I really appreciated the complimentary luggage storage immensely! The room itself was small (I am 5’11 and barely fit lengthwise!), but was perfect for one nights sleep. There was lots of snoring from other travellers, so not a great option if you’re a light sleeper! But overall, I loved the concept and decor and location! I would stay here again!
Loved this place! Easy to walk to from my bus stop and close to restaurants/subway stations. Only issue was street noise and they happened to be out of earplugs.
