The staff is fabulous. Very friendly! The hotel itself needs a massive refresh. Everything above the lobby seemed “tired.” It’s a straight shot to Grand Central, though, so it’s worth it.

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay so special for my daughter‘s birthday. From the moment we checked in, the front desk upgraded us to a room with a view of the Empire State building. Then at the breakfast, they brought out a cake to celebrate my daughter‘s birthday. The rooms were clean, and housekeeping was courteous enough to keep our room stocked with plenty of towels upon our request. It is conveniently located next to Grand Central terminal so it was easy to take subways within the city as well as from JFK.

New York Film Festival trip
We enjoyed the stay. Reasonably priced for NYC. Clean and comfortable. If you need something from your car after it is parked, please ask the concierge desk, not the front desk. Lady at the front desk told me to walk down the long ally and find someone out back and it was dark. Wonderful concierge gentleman saw that I needed assistance, offered and went and got the charger from my car. That was well worth the tip. I will book my next stay there.

Check in was fantastic and so friendly! The hotel is beautiful and close to everything. The only thing that was negative is one of the shower heads (there are two) was absolutely disgusting and covered in green mold. Gag worthy. We just didn’t use it and just ignored it 😅

Very central and convenient. Some parts of the room were not clean (e.g., behind sofa, dropped pqnts therre to literaly an inch of dust). Forgot to give us breakfast vouchers until the last day. Also first time in my life experienced a 10 minutes wait line for breakfast, apparently not enough capacity. Overall it was ok, and would atay again.

I’m a Marriott Bonvoy Gold member and mostly book through my work’s travel agency. When I book a Marriott or JW Marriott at my work travel site, it does indicate if the rate includes Bonvoy points or not. Always, I get extended other membership Perks that come with my status. This trip was personal and I booked through Expedia where the rate doesn’t come with Points. The hotel check-in was quite unaccommodating. Seems the overarching rule at this hotel is that 3rd party booking doesn’t get you any of your loyalty privileges. I’m quite disappointed.
