No flexibility with discussion about later check out given very late arrival due to flight delay with immediate move to discussion re additional charges. Power points in the room are not conveniently situated (are at floor level which is no use for charging devices safely) and there is limited space in the bathroom to sit out personal toiletries at the sink.

We’ve stayed here before and it’s always been great but it’s showing signs of aging. Our shower needed super human strength to turn it in and off and our tv kept losing signal and shutting off.

February 2025 William Vale stay

Good Location, valet parking was convienant. The lobby is not as inviting as I like, just didn't feel Comfortable to relax. Also I wish the breakfast room service menu had more choices. The room was nice, bed was medium comfort, nice view from our balcony. The bathroom fans need cleaning.

Great staff beginning with the Santos Colón who greeted us at the parking valet and actually walked us to the restaurant next door since our room wasn't ready. We had a corner suite on the 19th floor , amazing wraparound balcony ( unfortunately it was freezing but in the warmer months would be spectacular) Well appointed room , clean and stylish. A few small simple recommendations , 1. No place to hang the provided bathrobe in the bathroom , a hook by the shower would be prefect. 2. this sounds silly but the soap dishe is rectangular and the hand soap square. once the soap is wet it's almost impossible to remove from the soap dish. 3. the drapes at one time must have been automated push button but now has to be pulled by a rod. It's impossible to drag it fully closed and because of this the room at night isn't completely dark. I was only aware of this late at night and didn't feel like calling maintenance. The bar restaurant on the 22nd floor is spectacular and the young lady who attended us was a sweetheart. Coincidently she attended the same public school in Williamsburg my wife taught in for 30 years. Unfortunately I can't recall her name. She volunteered to take pics of my wife and I. She even surprised us with to glasses of champagne and desert float with sparklers for my birthday. We were sad to leave the next day ( not understanding the 11 AM check out) Must be a Brooklyn hotel thing , Manhattan it's always been 12PM. All in all a wonderful time

It was once great, but condition is declining...

The william vale is a wonderful hotel, but it's starting to show it's age. We've stayed here a handful of times across the last few years and love it dearly. However this stay it's clear that the condition of the hotel is degrading. Nearly every single piece of furniture in our room showed significant damage (closet, sofa, fridge.) Multiple automated blinds were broken. Our flooring had multiple chunks missing. The vanity looked like a dog had chewed on it. The bath drain was leaky. The Tv's randomly stopped streaming with no real cause. Our balcony lights did not work and could not be fixed. Engineering was sent up and resolved the blinds and a broken light fixture, but couldn't solve any of the other issues. For a hotel of this stature and price, walking into a balcony suite, which by their standards is an upgraded room, to these host of problems, is simply not the experience I would hope for, and certainly not what I expected. Getting charged $45 a night for a resort fee and never once having the daily bottles of water replenished, which used to be TWV branded but are now poland spring, just feels excessive. It's almost like the hotel started believing their own hype. All that said, the staff were superb top to bottom and the views are unmatched. It's a really nice place, genuinely, but just not what it should be for the price and constantly reminding you they are the only Forbes rated hotel in brooklyn.
