We go to Brooklyn several times a year and this hotel has been on our list for quite a while. We really, really wanted to love it but it was underwhelming, bordering on disappointing. Stayed for 3 nights in a VIP access room thru Expedia (not sure what that got us tbh). On the plus side...safe, walkable location. We didn't eat in the hotel, but the restaurants looked very nice! The room was clean and a great size. We had a nice balcony with a small table & chairs, and a great view (maybe that was the VIP part?). On the down side...First day, no hand soap. Second day, no coffee pods. Both days, housekeeping did not clean the room until almost 4:00. We left the room early each morning and headed back late in the afternoon to relax before getting ready for evening events. It's so disappointing to open that door and find your room has not yet been cleaned and you do not have towels! We ended up sitting in the lobby waiting it out which made us late both evenings. At our request, the front desk staff intervened on the second day, but for the cost of the hotel, we should not have had to ask for the room to be cleaned. One other thing to note - there's a rooftop bar across the street and it's loud at night! Overall, we wanted this to be our "go-to" hotel, but we'll keep looking.
