No View - But They Will Say "Go to the Rooftop"

The advertised photos and the hotel's name itself indicate that there is a beautiful view of Manhattan awaiting you. There is not. My "view" was an abandoned clay lot and a warehouse for rent/sale. You can tell many guests have said the same, as the employees already have a speech prepared that I'm sure they're told to rehearse mentioning how it is only the legal name of the hotel, it cannot be changed, it's not false advertisement because you can go up to the rooftop (still not a view anything like the photos in the description), etc. It's a shame, as I flew in from Florida and the view was the #1 reason I booked. I let them know this and I was still placed on the fourth floor overlooking the opposite side with nothing to see and blaring music playing from across the street nightly.

The property, room and staff were excellent. The location, while near the Queensbridge projects (which is perfectly safe) is really just lacking a lot of quick, nearby shopping and kind of on a desolate street. The hotel itself was excellent and I would stay here again. Simply excellent service, friendly staff and amenities were relatively accommodating.
