Overall the experience was good. Conveniently located, close to everything and next to the subway station (Red line 1). The hotel was clean and they have free hot drinks in the entrance all day round, including breakfast in the morning. The only downside was the size of the room. We knew the room was going to be small, as seen in the pictures, but if you are with a partner, and she has a few coats and jackets, then good luck hanging them all, The closet is very small and good enough for only 3-4 jackets. There isn't much space to open and keep two luggages and then move around. But we made it work 4 nights without much issue if you travel light it should not be a big problem. The microwave, fridge, and sink in the kitchenette was nice to have. The small table dividing the bed area from the kitchenette was helpful though it does take up a lot of space. The bathroom was small but nothing else to complain about. Overall the room and hotel was good, but next time I stay here I would definitely get a bigger suite.

Great location and overall, the staff was friendly. We walked to most of our destinations and found good dining options nearby. We didn't do the free breakfast, but that's a good option to save some money. The room/bathroom are rather small, which was no big deal to us since we're gone most of the day. However, the doors to the rooms are extremely loud and will slam unless they are carefully closed. Loud doors woke me up on several occasions. I know it's important to make sure that doors are secured, but I've never had this issue at other hotels. Other than that, we were pretty happy!

They oversold so we didn’t have a room when we got there. Staff was nice about it, but we never try to do anything nice. So when we go there and our hotel was not available it was quite upsetting. However, we are getting a refund so that pretty much makes up for it.

Hotel was in such a great location! We were able to walk almost everywhere which was convenient. The staff was wonderful and the hotel was very clean. We would definitely stay there again!

Door Slamming Hell
The hotel is one big slamming door. A very narrow building with tiny rooms that each have very heavy steel door on closers. The entire floor would shake when a door slammed, which was every few minutes. The elevators were ridiculously slow… average 10 minute wait so we mostly walked down from 10th floor but had to endure it going up.

We stayed for 5 nights during the first week of December. Arrived around 11 AM and they already had a room available for us and even upgraded us to a higher floor. We were so impressed the the customer service. We enjoyed the lobby that had unlimited hot coffee and hot water with tea or hot chocolate packs, so you can stay warm throughout the day. One day they even served hot chocolate and cookies. Alot of people complained about the elevator being slow. We were on the 20th floor and it was fine. It was busy but we often had an elevator within a minute or two. There were 4 available elevators, so it really wasn't bad. Quite quick actually The room was about the size of a cruise ship cabin. This is normal for NYC standards. The bathroom was basic with limited products available, but there was large bottles of nice shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The slidable door was fine. We didn't mind it. I know some people complained about this. The Kitchenette is small, but handy if you need to have a fridge and microwave. The only downside to our experience is that the walls and windows are very thin. New Yorkers honk alot. We were also by the elevator so we could hear slamming doors and street noise. Otherwise, I'd recommend bringing headphones or ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. The bed is comfortable though. Nice and clean. No bedbugs as some had mentioned.in previous comments. It was well cleaned before we came in. Finally, awesome location near 28th station & Penn.

The room was quite small, but that’s a problem with almost every NYC hotel room. The elevator was very fast. That matters when there are 40 floors! The breakfast scene was the most chaotic thing I’ve seen since a major urban riot. The best thing was the price: Three nights was $775 with all taxes and fees included. That’s a good deal for NYC these days. Bottom line: a perfectly good (but not excellent) choice at a discount price.
