I needed a hotel at the last minute I found this place Tribeca Hotel. It was next to the memorial downtown. I believe Manhattan the price was definitely reasonable. It looks like they’re still doing renovations. However, the rooms are still nice and it’s a really beautiful view close everything, which is really what I needed. The staff is very friendly as well with owners. I forgot the gentleman‘s name, but he was really friendly I look forward to visiting this hotel again.

This was an okay accommodation. Some parts were better than others. Pros: - Extremely walkable, subway station right outside the hotel - Affordable - Big enough if you have limited items. we had 2 carry ons and a bag. - AC in the room - Balcony Cons: - Sheets are really itchy and not super breathable - Hotel staff entered our room despite asking them not to with the “do not disturb” door sign. - Only replaced towels, did not make our bed or change the sheets. One time, they fixed our fitted sheet but left the comforter in a jumbled pile. really confusing. - Every time I saw somebody, they asked me if we were checking out - including less than an hour after we checked in…. - Balcony was shared with another room, which meant we couldn’t leave our window coverings open. The balcony offered the only table to sit at. We had a few weird experiences with people asking us all the time if we were checking out, but otherwise it was pretty good. Good value for the money, but they also charged us $40 more than what was listed on the reservation. Not sure for what.

I arrived at approx 9pm to be told to wait for my room to be cleaned. I asked them why I would need to wait given a 3pm check-in time. So they gave me an upgradeded room. 1 hour later they knocked on my door saying that they couldnt keep me there because the person who booked the room arrived so I needed to leave the room and they would find me another room. I had already unpacked and was in bed. I explained that to them. They insisted I needed to leave. Then they moved me to a room that eas clearly under construction and smelled like moth balls and febreeze. I asked for another room and they didnt have another so I had no choice but to take it.

This hotel was certainly fine, but it seemed like a definite step “down” than others I saw at similar or only slightly higher price points in the area. It was ok overall but seemed new and a bit thrown together in some ways. Overall, again, it’s ok - but if you see a place at a similar price point that has a longer record of existing and positive reviews, I may go with the other option.

The location near broadway is very convenient, but this is not a very well set up hotel. You can tell it was repurposed from a catholic institution that left it in good condition but it’s weird things like bare concrete floors, rocking chairs that tip you over, very high beds, and a fridge that is oversized for the room blocking the sink! It’s also very noisy and a bit creepy to see people crowded outside. It gives off a motel vibe. It’s okay but I wouldn’t stay there again.
