Only major issue was our room 903 was directly next to the elevator shaft. It was nonstop noise throughout the night which made sleeping difficult.

In a relatively quiet corner of the Village, a one block walk from the W. 4th St. subway station, and within walking distance to countless restaurants, bars, and cafes. Art Deco lobby is breathtaking, staff were attentive to needs, standard room provided plenty of space to move about, bed very comfortable, hotel robe/slippers nice touches, reliably strong water pressure and no issues with water temperature. As with many older buildings, one drawback is thin walls, so perhaps bring earplugs if you are extra-sensitive to overly-loud, talkative neighbors.

This lovely Art Deco hotel is well-situated for a New York City stay and offers a very comfortable bed and friendly service! There is a very nice restaurant attached. I recommend breakfasting there on the weekends!
