My refrigerator was not operating properly which was disappointing because I purchased food to put in there. I had to throw the food out because it went bad. Additionally, there was hair all over the bathroom and a very smokey cigarette smell throughout the hotel and heavily in the room.

Really nice staff. The only downfall was that our room stunk of weed and there was a bunch of people screaming in the room next to us. I didn’t mind it so much in the evening but it got to the point where it was midnight and still happening. The room cleanliness could have been a little better too. There was something sticky on the carpet that seemed like it was there for awhile.

Staff were very friendly and the room was always clean. There was some brief issues with the shower getting very hot very fast half way through a shower but other than than that the accommodations were great. The walls were a bit thin (we caught an argument between some other guests) but not any fault of staff of course. The view from our room was very nice too. We would stay here again!

We chose this hotel due to the proximity to NJPAC. Clerks were very friendly and inviting and the lobby was immaculate. Multiple different seating areas; however, the room itself was a different story. The second you walked in the door it reeked of cigarette smoke. Which was a little confusing due to it being a non-smoking room. That was one of the reasons we chose this hotel due to us having allergies and adverse effects to that particular smell. It honestly made it hard to breathe, sleep, and want to just spend time in the room. Everything reeked of it; the pillows, bedding, chair in the corner, etc. We had to cover our faces with blankets to sleep properly. Moving on to cleanliness- the bathroom has yellow stains on the walls (we can only assume what secretions they are from…) and the floor/bathtub had other people’s hair on it. Not the end of the world, but just felt a little icky.

Upon arrival at approximately 8:30 PM, I encountered an unpleasant reception experience. After raising my concerns, I was attended to by a staff, who addressed my request for drinking water. She informed me that the hotel does not provide bottled water and directed me to a water filter near the reception. Unfortunately, the water was contaminated with bees and flies, which raises serious concerns about its safety. Additionally, when we checked into our initially assigned room, the receptionist assured us it was non-smoking. However, upon entering, we were greeted with a strong smell of smoke, making it unbearable to stay. We were then moved to a second room, which also had an unpleasant odor. Given the circumstances, we had no choice but to stay there that night.

A pleasure to stay at Robert Treat Hotel
Just want to say thank you for the room. It was great and the bed was very comfortable. Also an extra thank you to the security guard who assisted me when my vehicle was locked in a public car park and allowed me to use his phone to call the parking attendant to open the garage and ensure I made my flight home. Thank you again!
