Valet parking is mandatory and the price on the website is incorrect. I was prepared to pay $20 as the website stated only to get to the location and be charged $34.95 a day. That was frustrating as I couldn’t have changed hotels without a penalty after I found out about the difference in the rate. The restaurant closing time was posted until 11:00; we returned back to the hotel about 10 and headed up to the restaurant to get food only to find out that the kitchen was closed until the next day.

The area seemed a little scetchy but it had a secure parking for customers but you have to pay 20.00 a day for parking. Great service with the airport shuttle. The burgers were delicious.

Room was nice & clean and staff helpful. Parking is unusual in that if you want to use your vehicle there is a $10 charge for going in and out. Probably better to not have a vehicle and use Uber/public transportation, which I eventually did. They do provide shuttle service to the airport, we was appreciated. Also, not much options for dining nearby.

I liked this property because of the location. The dining area and the food were great. The staff was very courteous and professional. The rooms were very nice and clean. The shuttle service was excellent!

There is nothing near by for food options other than the inhouse restaurant that seemed to run out of everything. Would have been nice to know there is a garbage facility next door (smelly, noise at all hours). Kept us wake at night. I'd consider it not safe to walk around. Shuttle service was good.

DON'T STAY HERE!
Horrible service and DOES NOT CARE ABOUT you or your family. I had a delay from the trip coming back from Orlando trying to find a place for my family to stay. They were not helpful when mistakenly scheduled a room next to the wrong airport at 8:37 p.m. attempted to resolve this with the front desk and they would not carry the money paid over to their other hotel, which was also a Confort Inn. They just kept pointing the finger and said it wasn't them that could fix it, then gladly stole our money!

The property had a lot of windows that brought the sunlight onto the interior and gave the physical space a warm glow. The property is well maintained and the elevator works efficiently. Finally, the breakfast was really good🌹🌹

My stay at the Comfort Inn in Newark was very mixed. Starting with the good, the room was pretty clean and the beds were comfortable. Shower was warm and the valet parking was a plus. Now the bad… the hotel was in a very bad neighborhood and there were no stores or restaurants nearby, so I had to Uber far away to get to even a drugstore. Would not want to walk around the neighborhood at anytime in the day or evening. Next, the free breakfast was very skimpy and the dinner options offered by the rooftop restaurant were incredibly basic… burgers and flat bread pizza plus a few appetizers rebranded as entrees. Finally, the vibe of the room was not good… high ceilings and floors with no carpet made the room very loud/echoey, and the white walls showed every scratch and stain up. No pictures on the wall or design accents either, so you really are sleeping in a cold drywall box all night. I’d stay here only in a pinch, don’t plan to vacation from here.

Terrible manager, stay somewhere else
The manager cancelled my reservation because we didn't check in before 4pm. Our flight was delayed and I called ahead to let them know that we will arrive late. The lady said she will make a note and hold our reservation. After paying for a cab to get to the hotel, the manager said he canceled our reservation because we were late. I was shocked because this has never happened before. Have you even checked in after midnight previously and never had a reservation canceled. Then he said he can rebook the rooms we had but will cost approximately $300 more. So obviously I booked somewhere else and it cost me $500 more but I wasn't going to spend another penny in this unscrupulous business

Overall really great: new, clean, beautiful lighting and storage, comfortable bed and pillows and good customer service, even giving me a drink and cookies when they found out I wouls be leaving before complimentary breakfast started. Only negatives = no hair dryer in room or at desk and couldn't see TV from bed at all and not ideally from couch.
