I enjoyed staying here. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was large and clean. It was in a great area. We ended up walking to a nice Italian restaurant a minute away. Parking was convenient. The bar area does get crowded with college kids, just an fyi. And the pool was a little cold (first world problems), but I would absolutely stay here again.

The parking situation is pretty odd. It can be annoying having to validate your parking every day and the lot itself was very cramped. The room itself was amazing though.

The Hyatt Place-Newark is smack dab in the heart of a quaint yet vibrant college town eminently suitable for walking, and brimming with dining options. Its features include a $10 per day basement parking garage, free serve-yourself breakfasts (beyond the mere continental), and a bar area. The latter boasts a modern, cheerful interior atmosphere as well as an adjoining elevated front patio with a commanding streetside vibe. Open from 4:30 to 10:00 PM, the bar offers beer/wine/cocktails as well as an eclectic mix of tasty appetizers, soups/salads, and light fare menu items. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the room interiors clean and tastefully appointed. Should I find myself again in Newark De, I would stay there without hesitation.

Perfect stay! Vanessa at the front desk so very kind and professional! The hotel is spotless and stylish! Location is great!! Lots of restaurants on the block- try Peach Blossom! They have black out shades that are incredible! The thermostat on ac is perfectly accurate and the AC system is silent!! The furniture and art is clean and modern. The elevator has a wonderful sound upon entering- the patio is lively and friendly, the pool is clean and great temp! Honestly, one of the best stays ever! Hyatt Place rocks!! We highly enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt. The staff was very kind and helpful and we greatly appreciated having a guest laundry option on-site. (A really important feature when you are traveling with a toddler). We loved the pool and didn't mind that it was small, but it was still very cold for a heated pool. We did ask the front desk for someone to look into it, but never heard back. The parking situation was also a bit confusing, but we finally figured it out. Overall an excellent hotel.
