So… check in was great. Front desk staff was personable and friendly even though it was past 11pm. They have a little snack shop downstairs that serves amazing pizza with the little Jersey cup pepperonis. *chefs kiss. Here’s where my issues begin, why were there only 2 towels and wash clothes in the room? I’ve never stayed at a hotel where there were less than 3 in a room. It was especially bad because there were 3 of us in the room. When I called to ask for more towels they didn’t have any. Girl, what?! I had to wait until the next morning because they had more people than they anticipated. (Makes no sense to me either.) I had to go downstairs the next morning to get the towels which is when I learned that there was only 1 elevator working! On top of that, the vents in the bathroom don’t work so there was no circulation to suck out the damp air from the shower. That feeling nor that smell makes for a great stay. It was hot in the room because of this and no matter that temperature I put the AC on it would not cool down. Overall, the stay was cool for what it was, but it wasn’t all that. I think I’m over the chain in general. IHG has to do better with their updates to these facilities.

The air conditionner was very noisy. Our room was near the elevator and we ear it. No smart tv in the room, very small bedroom without pressure in the shower. No restaurant near the hotel. We eared the planes.

This has been my pick of hotels since I found it. I always make sure to snag it, when traveling to NYC. It may be away from the city, but thanks to all the mass transit options, it is always a great option. They take care of all my needs, make sure I have a great stay and honestly give me a place to get some sleep after a long day. The shuttle is always on time, based on their schedules the hot breakfast buffet was also really really good. The people were friendly in the serving area as well. I think the people that take issue with this hotel, just don’t read what they are buying. Make sure how many people the breakfast includes, saw many complaining when they learned only 2 adults were paid for when booking, make sure you know where Newark is, and it isn’t in Manhattan. Be patient, and kind. If you are nice to people, it goes a long way. I can’t wait for my upcoming stays, which they verified yesterday. I love them so much, I have a 6 night stay coming up very soon. So if you are looking for an affordable option, with great staff, then this is a winner.

Lengthy wait late night check in...only one front desk. No room service for second day stay...no fresh towels,coffee or bed made. TELEPHONEPOINTLESS AS NEVER ABLE to contact anyone. Parking lot entry broken could not get in without help therefore no ticket to get out. For that front desk did help.

This property is convenient to EWR and reasonable. HOWEVER - they could spend a bit of money and provide some toilet paper that doesn't HURT to use, I literally went and bought my own TP because it was THAT BAD!!! Also, there were TWO of us in the room and we were allowed TWO towels - personally I use one for my hair and one for my body - I asked for a 3rd towel and was told "no" which was just ridiculous. The A/C sort of worked - I would have preferred if I could have cooled our room down more, but it was OK - the Double Tree next door is the same price book there - their TP is much better and they aren't stingy with their towels...
