If you are heading to Newark this is an excellent choice. I have stayed twice in the last month to attend concerts with my child at the prudential center. I was worried to stay in Newark but the hotel has a gated parking lot. I appreciate when checking in the staff doesn’t say your room number out loud. They simply say your room number is on the envelope with your keys. As a woman traveling alone with a teenager I appreciate the extra measures taken to make guests feel safe.

The place is suitable for a business trip. It is clean, and it is quiet in the sense that you don't hear much of the next-door neighbor. The lobby is nice, and they provide items for you to use. A major critique was the air conditioning unit in the room, which would make a massive noise at night. You either had to turn it off and sweat all night or listen to it hammer the whole night.
