Nice stay. Great to have transportation from and to EWR. Lobby staff recommended a great Swahili restaurant that was about a 3 minute walk. Our flight was delayed and they allowed a later check out. Clean and comfortable room.

One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was for the free Newark airport shuttle however that didn’t work out. I called as soon as we landed to let them know we needed the shuttle but the clerk didn’t speak very clear English so I couldn’t understand him and tried 3 more times and after we waited 50 minutes and no shuttle we opted you make an Uber! The restaurant/bar looks nice but the food is just ok and expensive!

Our stay was ok for the one night we needed. However would not recommend any more than that. Our room was bare bones with nothing more than bed and tv. No chairs or other furniture. Pretty much just sleep and shower the next morning.

Set in an historic building this boutique hotel is a 10 minute walk to Newark Penn Station and so 20 - 30 minutes to Penn Station Manhattan....charming hotel in quiet Newark neighborhood with lots of character and much better value than anything in NYC

Was travelling with my partner and stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights before she flew out of Newark airport. Bedsheets in the room were noted yellowish and with stains. In the bathroom, the faucet was leaking, creating a mess on the counter top where we had our staff. The shower door was leaking from the lower part, making a mess on the floor, everytime someone was taking a shower. We went to the bar to buy 2 sprites, but the bar had already closed. The bartender offered 2 plastic glasses of sprite for $5. The register had already closed. He did not redirect me to the sundry shop next to the reception. No receipt was given nor he asked for my room number, hence I am pretty sure he pocketed the money. Sundry shop is really hidden with a small sign indicating that there is a sundry shop, that I realised is there only when I checked out. Newark downtown? Stay away. Disgusting and the smell of marijuana and pee is everywhere. Don't dare to go to the train station. Too dangerous and smells pee everywhere. Disgusting place. Very poor service and quality for the money paid. I selected the specific hotel because of my excelent experience at another TRYP by Windham in Puerto Rico. I won't go back to the one in Newark.

Very nice hotel. Very clean which I appreciated. I was charged a $29 fee upon checking in which I didn’t know why since I paid the full amount before I got there. But, other than that, a nice hotel.

We came for a show at the Prudential Center from a 2-hour drive away and didn’t want to drive late at night. Best decision ever! We walked a couple of blocks, saw our favorite artist, and didn’t have to fuss with parking and driving late at night. It’s felt like we snapped our fingers after the show and were in our pjs in a comfortable bed 10-minutes later.

It was very walkable to the Prudential center if you’re going to a concert. But the area around the hotel is a little loud in the morning and the walls are thin. Good for a short term stay, like a night or two. Breakfast is not included apparently…but not expensive if you want that. You do have to pay for parking too and I didn’t love that. But overall, it was ok.

Nice urban-style hotel. Temparature in room was very comfortable. Room was clean. Only thing is that there was a smell left behind in the room and mainly near the desk area upon my arrival. I was able to spray something to normalize room smell but area near desk was stinky/funky. Also, there were two bees in the bathroom near window so not sure if there was a nest in the corner somewhere.
