Great choice in Montclair
Lovely hotel in a town that needs more good places to stay! Staff was very friendly and I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. A few small kinks to be worked out: no hooks for robes or towels in bathroom; shallow, slow-draining sink; no bedside power plugs. But clean, nice, quiet - definitely top pick in Montclair.

Beautiful property in the heart of Montclair. Room is wonderfully decorated and warm and cozy. My fireplace was the highlight. The morning breakfast is top notch……a continental style buffet on steroids with only top quality pastries, vut fruit, yogurt and granola bar, cured meats and cheese etc. Highly recommend. Will be back.

One of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed. The room was cute and quiet — a little dim but it was okay. What set it apart was the staff. Lilly from the front desk was enigmatic — she became my best friend on my first trip I’ve ever taken solo. She is such an asset — willing to go above and beyond! Breakfast was great and the property is gorgeous. I will be back if I’m ever in Montclair again!

Pretty average hotel, nothing fancy. When you consider the price, thats pretty disappointing. We booked this hotel because we were going on vacation and wanted something a little better than the usual hotels we’ve stayed at and this was not that. It was a more expensive price tag for a usual hotel experience. Also we found the decor choice of having celebrity photos literally everywhere in our room, a bit off-putting. Breakfast was also put out late several times during our stay, we’d go down for breakfast (at least 10 minutes after the time they said breakfast would be, mind you) and only half would be out. The staff was friendly though which we appreciated.

We stayed at The George over a weekend visit to our son and his family who live nearby. The hotel is located in a residential corner of Montclair, easy walking distance to the Montclair Art Museum, Van Vleck Gardens, and restaurants. The decor is eclectic but cohesive and charming. We had a spacious corner room that was very comfortable and inviting. The breakfast offerings are excellent. The sitting room invites lingering with its gas fireplace, comfortable seating, and games. We are likely to return in future.

We loved the full size candy closet, Nespresso machine in the room, the George has its own Netflix. Beds are comfortable, and the all around vibe is just great.
