This is the only place that late check out is not available. They want $50 for one hour and $100 for two hours, even in a low season when the cabins are empty. Most hotels give one hour and even two hours, based on availability, just as courtesy. Just something to consider ...

The cabin you stay in has a shared area where you can dine and use the fireplace. The rooms are spacious and basic amenities. They leave water which is a nice touch! There are tables and chairs available to sit at outside of the cabin to enjoy the view as well as walking paths. Definitely would like to stay again in warmer weather.

I would have liked it have given them 5 stars but unfortunately I couldn’t. The place has been a dream of mine for a long time. The desk staff at the main lodge were kind. But the person I encountered at the overlook was extremely rude. I had to call the desk three times to get a response. They kept telling me maintenance would be coming up. But hours later no one came. The next day I went to the desk to discuss our issue and was given a lame excuse that new staff was inexperienced to handle our concerns. Which makes it even sadder. To admit as a manager that you don’t train your staff well is a poor reflection of management. Not the employee. So maybe start there and give your staff the support and training to give guest the experience you falsely try to sell about your hotel.

Brunch was really expensive but food was great No one told us the price and we were all shocked at the bill. There were 5 couples so maybe the wait staff should go over the price since som of us do not eat much as seniors
