We arrived late and the staff were a wonderful help. The hotel is very modern and clean and located along the harbour with a great boardwalk to stretch the legs after a long drive. The kids enjoyed Cold Rock ice cream a 5 min max stroll from the hotel. We grabbed some Thai takeaway too but could easily have opted for something on the room service menu. The pool has a great slide for the kids and a small playground. A short drive up the road/20 minute walk and you’re at Newcastle Beach with the amazing ocean baths. There is a beautiful scenic walk along the coast with a kiosk right on the beach selling food and coffee. Wish we had more time to explore but we were only stopping over for the night. Super comfy bed and pillows.

The room was inline with my expectation. Everything was clean and neat. The Staff were wonderful and very responsive. Always had a smile on their face. The pool was great on hot day. The bonus that i didn't realise when book was the partnership Rydges has with the next door gym. That was so much better that using an average hotel gym and it was super convenient.

Enjoyed the spacious room and bath, loved the option of not having the room cleaned with bonus $10 voucher, appreciated the receptionist's excellent customer service and the concierge looking after my car. The afogato was excellent too. Would like to suggest a microwave in the room for leftovers but we discovered that cold dumplings were fine!
