Could not fault our one night stay. Very comfortable room with excellent facilities. Also, made to feel most welcome by all the staff.

Lovely stay. Great service from receptionist, bar and restaurant staff. Good breakfast. Hotel a little tired in places but overall we had a great time.
We liked the room-clean, quiet, comfy bed.
We liked the breakfast. Good choice on menu.
Would have liked more toilet rolls and water in room on arrival.
Friendly staff-all appeared happy to please.

Lovely! Lady booking us in let us know the early option which was great. Lady at breakfast was also fantastic.
Marvellous all round. Be back again
The hotel and room 1st class, the evening meal and breakfast was lovely and nothing was any bother to the staff, they were excellent and very approachable, will be making this our 1st choice when back down again
Lovely clean and comfortable rooms.
I have mobility issues so requested a ground floor room which was available. It was amazing, it has a patio door with a parking space right outside, which was a godsend for taking the luggage in. You also have a separate key for the patio door and normal room access keycard too.
I left a crutch in the room and before we had set off, reception were already phoning me to say housekeeping had found it.
The location is lovely and the hotel lounge and conservatory are great to have a drink or a meal in. We have stayed a few times and the food has always been amazing too.
Lovely hotel, but should have checked when booking, rooms not air conditioned so very uncomfortable overnight in the summer. Overall everything else was good
Lovely long weekend. Loved the patio doors and being able to park outside our room. Very warm weekend but patio doors allowed for cool air to circulate. WiFi kept failing but if in dining area WiFi was good.
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Room very comfortable and quiet. Excellent evening meal and breakfast. Good location for our visit to Beamish Museum. Be sure to book through hotel for discount.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
People are lovely and very helpful. Meal was good. The rooms are a bit dated and in need of an update.
Hotel needs modernising - pictures make it look 5/5 but needs work. Very focused on wedding market. Staff nice enough and would probably stay again if needed too but it wasn't what I expected. No AC in room and windows creaky to open, towel rail on 24/7 which when 85F outside makes it interesting...
Honestly such a great stay and very welcoming to our dog! It was our first time staying away with her and they provided a dog bed and treats for her stay along with bowls for food and water. She also got a sausage for breakfast.
We would definitely stay again. Premises was very clean and well kept, the only things that could be improved were very minor and easy to fix such as the sealant in the shower, and kettle in the room was old and slow but everything else was great. Breakfast was great and of very good quality, sausages were delicious and I would have loved two but was too shy to ask for another.

Weekend in Beamish
Good location for Beamish Museum and Tanfield steam railway with lovely local walks. Hotel is fairly modern and clean, but a little worn in places. Staff are friendly and evening dining was quite good, but the breakfast was below average. Average for the price but would stay again if visiting the area.

Great staff and friendly service.
Food was very good but they stop serving early (8pm on our day of arrival) so only just made it.
Shower wasn't working on the first night but they got this fixed by the second night.
Room quality was fine for the price.
Would definitely stay again if in the area.
