Never again!
Fire alarm testing with no notice. Room is small, musty and outdated. Staff were not very helpful when attempting to receive packages; told to use external drop box but couldn’t get App to download and front desk refused to accept delivery of packages. Manager seemed to always be too “busy” to assist. Front desk and restaurant are in different buildings from rooms, so if you need anything you have to put on rain/winter gear to go across to them.

Could do with a little TLC
Albeit this was just somewhere to stay at night, for my onward journey. Cheap and cheerful. But few things I think need looked at, there is yellow stains in the bathroom one of the main lights didn’t work, TV is ritually stuck together with tape, and took me a while to turn it on to realise it was unplugged. Did what it needed I suppose but yeah… get some tlc!
We always use campernile. Very comfy..nice friendly staff

Basic hotel. Clean and quiet.
Comfortable enough as a base to explore the area without breaking the bank.
Pleasant staff, easy check in, any requests made were actioned immediately.
Could do with upgrading television service to keep up with market for those who would use the tv on a night, i.e. on demand services and tvs that arent held together with duct tape.
And take your own towels if you are bigger than toddler sized as the hotels ones are small.
Other than that a generally pleasant few days.

I paid for what I got … economy. The room was basic and quiet. No fridge but you do get a tv and kettle. The bathroom was dirty though.
The hotel staff were friendly but will not phone you a taxi if you need one. A receptionist told me that they were not allowed to do that ???
We could smell the cleanliness as soon as we walked into our room, fresh and clean and plenty of room. The staff were friendly and helpful in pointing out local walks etc.
The only drawback was the logging of our car registration on the machine in the foyer. Overly confusing what should have been an easy job. The breakfast food was always well cooked and plentiful, sets you up for the whole day.

Rooms tired but competitive price for out of town accommodation
This property is ok for literally a base and bed for our stay. The hotel was sparse with amenities and felt very much like facilities I’d stayed with when I was at school or in the army. Perfect for those wanting no frills and one ply toilet paper.
Stopped off on my trip from midlands to Scotland late last minute decision this hotel came up when I looked for somewhere to stay it was a little basic but very clean and comfortable staff were helpful, I had a little trouble with the swipe card locks other then that fine it was a 1/3rd cheaper then holiday inn and travel lodge. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Thank you.
We received a friendly greeting on arrival and this set the tone of our stay, We were given excellent service at all times during our stay by all members of staff and I can't speak highly enough of them.
The food was fantastic, we had two evening meals and breakfast on the final day and the service for these was excellent.
We visited for the Great North Run and will be back next year, I would recommend staying here to anybody who's looking for excellent value, service and quality.
