Hotel is In a good quiet location close to ao arena. The hotel in itself seems a bit basic compared to other Leonardo hotels in Glasgow and Manchester. The sink had a big crack on it. We also went shopping came back and couldn’t get into room as room had been giving to someone else which I am taking further. Luckily the person wasn’t in the room and we got to stay in it.
The staff in hotel went above and beyond they were so helpful and pleasant breakfast was good too. The only downside was the cleaning off the room we had to go down to reception to organise clean towels there was dust in parts of room so they are not being cleaned properly yet the corridors had staff with trolleys all day so no excuse for no room cleaning but the hotel staff made up for that they always had a smile for you

The hotel stay are extremely helpful and friendly
The lobby and restaurant was nice, fresh and modern
The rest of the hotel was dated, it had been freshened up but it needs modernising
The shower and hot water pressure was very low.
The parking in nearby carpark waa great, its literally just over the road

The property was perfect position for Newcastle Arena and in a lovely courtyard. Great breakfast & nice food in the restaurant. The radiator in our room wasn’t on at all & there was snow outside so cold weather!
Lovely hotel with exceptional staff . A lady called Adita checked us in very late in the evening and she was excellent. Great breakfast too .

Noisy rooms
Check in was fine. I was moved rooms twice. I was initially on 7th floor and either the fan in toilet or a plant room above was extremely noisy. I was moved a few rooms along and it was no better so I was moved to 6 where I could still hear some sort of noise but it was tolerable. Staff were sympathetic helpful and pleasant but company needs to get that sorted as it is meant to be a high end hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable otherwise. Breakfast was fine apart from they served boiled potatoes? Would have thought hash browns should have e been the option.
Received a first class service from Scott at check in. Room fabulous with massive bed. Top floor 7. Plentiful tea and coffee facilities. A lovely quiet night and good quality sleep. Breakfast was good, however mushrooms would have been good to complete the full English. Will be back next year to stay again.
