The staff were friendly and it was very cleanly. However the room was quite small and very hot and we weren’t able to open the windows. There was a small fan but it didn’t make much difference and there was no air conditioning. The bed while soft was very slippery and uncomfortable we ended up waking up multiple times in the night.

For some reason, initially they could not find our reservations but, eventually, found them. An amazing location near the Castle Keep, The Black Gate, and the Dog Leap Stairs. Excellent prices and value. The staff were exceptionally kind.

Fabulous Apart from the quality of the surroundings, the opulence of the decor and the delicious food- a hotel is made successful by its staff. The Vermont exceeds all expectations in this area. Staff are welcoming, helpful, easy to chat with and really can’t do enough for their customers. If we’re in the Newcastle area we will always be staying here ( we’ve stayed in a few others but they don’t compare). 11/10 👍

Great hotel, staff were fantastic, friendly and extremely helpful. The location is great in quiet area but in 5/10 walking distance of everything. We managed to get parking at the hotel however there are limited space first come first served. But over all a fabulous hotel.

A lovely hotel however we were expecting more from the room than we got for the price we paid. Location was perfect apart from being next to the train track. The staff were lovely and helpful. Didn’t get much sleep due to the trains and an event that was being held at the hotel, the lady on reception did apologise in advance for the event noise. We would stay again.

Ok but

Although in my experience the main hotel is good the so-called luxury apartments and luxury there was no hot water either in the evening or the morning that is not what you’re expecting a hotel and the hotel is in a bit of decay. I need an overhaul.
