Started at check in,the women checking us in was flustered and on her phone. We had called earlier to see if we could get adjoining rooms and the person who answered said yes when we check in, didn’t happen she told us they don’t do this. On to my room now, ugly ,, smelled old and the freezer had no door so was covered in frostNo table in the bathroom for your bathroom toiletries, a small sink with no shelf’s. Moved the table from the main room into the bathroom. No microwave, facial towels or hand towels. Bedside lamps unplugged, tv didn’t work. Very frustrating. I would like my money back on this one!!!!

Our non smoking room smelled of stale cigarette smoke and the hallways smelled of pot. The room was clean but everything was otherwise old and in bad condition. The bedding was pretty uncomfortable as well. The comforter was thin and the pillows were uneven and a bit hard. We really only needed a place to sleep in Newport since we had an early morning race and just needed to be in the area. However I don’t think we’d ever stay here again. The one plus was the 2 staff members I dealt with were very polite and friendly.

Convenient location....not much else good to say. Tub was clearly not cleaned. Hallway smoke alarms chirped all night. Overbooked for the amount of parking spaces. A place to crash at best.

Friendly staff. The TV and how to use remote was not apparent. Help was provided. Breakfast - oh so continental - muffin and coffee Unfortunately, had noise "neighbor" - management did advise them to stop and it worked.

The room was dirty and smelled of mold. The hallway was not clean. The fan in the bathroom did not work and duck tape was used on the bathroom trim. Additionally, the bottom of the plastic ice bin was duct taped over a huge crack. The grass was not mowed and broken bottle glass was on the back sidewalk. I had to warn a gentleman walking his dog about the broken glass so the dog would not cut it's paws. I learned from speaking to an occupant that this motel was being used by many homeless people renting on a monthly basis. He told me he had to be out of the motel by noon because the motel raised his rent and he could not afford the increase. I do not recommend staying at this motel.

Review of Motel 6 – Room 147 The images provided for this Motel 6 property are highly misleading. The reality is that the facility is poorly maintained and appears to double as a homeless shelter. It is in serious need of renovation. We stayed in Room 147. There was no closet or any place to hang clothing. The room lacked basic furniture—even a chair to sit on. The floor was bare and not carpeted, the walls were unfinished concrete blocks, and the room was completely outdated. The bathroom had huge visible cracks in the floor, and the toilet rocked when sat on, indicating poor maintenance. While there was hot water, that’s one of the very few positives. The television, although labeled as high definition, only offered six channels—most of which barely worked. One evening, we had to assist a woman resident who had fallen in her room. She was screaming for help for a good five minutes before we could locate her. Additionally, the pervasive smell of marijuana throughout the building made it clear that the non-smoking policy is not enforced. To make matters worse, Expedia has refused to provide a refund, despite the clear discrepancy between how this property is advertised and its actual condition. This is false advertising, plain and simple. This property does not match the online listing and is not a place I would recommend. If you’re considering staying here, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere.

Check in: I paid cash at check-in, but did not receive the receipt because the printer was broken. They asked me to come back later. The next day, the printer was still not fixed. I did not receive any paper documents at all. During the stay, some guests, four of them, were fighting each other very loudly from 12 midnight to 1 thirty, but no hotel employees did anything. It was so bad that I almost called the police. The check-out time was 11 am, but the key became unusable to use at 10 am.

We went there check in around 5pm and the room smell a heavy smoke like a whole group of people smoke over there even we reserved smoke free room and that is the last room they have and we can’t get another one, we try to open the window and run the AC to help out with the smell but it’s not helping at all. No blanket inside the room and we ask the front desk , he said it will take time because the house keeper it’s not there and he need to wash and dry it. We keep calling and asked about the blanket every hour , on the 3rd hour I went downstairs and asked for the blanket and he gave me a thin brown blanket instead the thick one they put in the picture. While I’m in the front desk I saw him open the Linen room next to him I spotted an air refresher spray and I begged him to spray my room with it for a minute, or I can borrow it and give it back after I finish but he said NO because it’s not his job and he need to ask the room cleaner lady 1st. What a disaster and we can’t sleep at all that night. Just let you know this hotel have no lift only stairs. Get ready if you have huge luggage. Overall this is the worst experience I’ve ever had in my entire existence with staying in the motel/hotel periods.

Old, broken, and brown water

The door could not be opened with the electronic key, only by a physical master key, so guests were not free to come and go, which was bizarre. This happened because a fuse blew earlier in the day, but that’s still unacceptable—rewire the hotel so that doesn’t happen, and have an electrician on call. The tub water ran very brown. The room was generally clean, maybe some hairs left around, but trash taken out and not filthy. There’s enough parking. There was one person working and a lot of people checking in and the key issue and various other issues so the service was slow.
