I recently stayed at the Wyndham Newport Hotel, and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory.
Let’s start with the breakfast, which was a major disappointment. The coffee tasted watered down, making it hard to enjoy my morning routine. The eggs were clearly imitation, lacking any real flavor or texture, and the hash seemed undercooked and unappetizing. Overall, it was an unpalatable experience that left me wishing I had opted for breakfast elsewhere.
The gym facilities also left much to be desired. There was no container on top of the water unit, which raised concerns about dust and bacteria collecting in the reservoir. To make matters worse, there was no disinfectant spray available to wipe down the fitness machines, despite signs encouraging guests to clean them before and after use. This lack of attention to cleanliness and hygiene in a fitness area is quite concerning.
Additionally, while the hotel advertises complimentary parking, I was surprised to find a $22.60 “facility fee” added to my bill each night. This felt misleading and left me feeling like I was being charged for something that should have been included in the overall price.
Overall, my stay at the Wyndham Newport Hotel did not meet my expectations. Between the subpar breakfast, cleanliness issues in the gym, and unexpected fees, I left feeling disappointed. I hope the hotel management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements.
