The room was acceptable for the price we paid. However we were attracted to this hotel because it included use of the pool and spa. This area was terrible. I refused to use it, because it was so dirty from the changing rooms to the pool. It was so smelly in the steam room that I couldn't go in it. We did complain and were given a small refund, but could not cancel and check out and be completely refunded. I could not afford just to lose my money. I would never recommend this place and I would absolutely never return.

Our stay at Victoria
Stayed with my grandson for a week at the end of Aug. Beautiful old hotel with lots of character. Our room looked like it had new carpet and curtains but bathroom was still in the 80’s. (No toilet brush in bathroom!!) Room was cleaned and beds made as often as you like.
Hotel needs a lot of money spending on it to bring it up to scratch, it could be a fantastic hotel if it had a coffee shop put in, its own bar, gift shop, entertainment etc as it seems like the one Legacy forgot!
Pool area needs updating and the showers/ changing rooms especially.
Even so, we had a nice stay.

Good location, with loads of shops and places to eat. The hotel is nice, although a little dated but it was clean. The room we stayed in had a patio door leading out onto a large balcony, but there was a sign on the door saying it was not to be opened as the balcony area was unsafe and a safety chain to restrict opening of the door. The room had no other opening window and no air condition and the wether was so nice which meant our room was very uncomfortable to be in. At one point I did have to open the door slightly as it was so unbearable but then our little dog escaped out onto the balcony which caused us a little ordeal, trying to get him back in, I was thankful for doggy chocolate drops to get him back inside. I would say that room is definitely unsuitable if you are taking a dog or possibly a small child.
A fantastic old building and a great room with a stunning sea view. The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. Our 7 month old daughter loved the people and had a lovely time in the pool. Location amazing - convenient for beaches and shops but still easy to get away from the bustle. (And breakfast was lovely too!) Thank you!

Hotel was in an excellent location
Room was a dog friendly room and was clean & tidy
Breakfast was nice although there could of been more choice
Seated in a dog friendly area at breakfast but wasn’t a problem as it was nice and quiet
Only downfall would be that the hotel is very old so the decor is too…worn carpets…broken tiles etc…didn’t cause us a problem but it just a shame that it’s slightly neglected in places!

Staff were lovely. Breakfast was good. Hotel was clean but is dated and needs an update and refresh through. Pool nice and warm but need a clean in the whole area and changing rooms.
Our room had water pipes above the shower room so everytime someone had a shower or flushed the toilet it woke us up.
We would return if the price was right.

Needs some TLC
The hotel had some beautiful features but needed a lick of paint and some TLC.
Alot if the bars and rooms weren't open any more, as well as elements of the facilities broken - steam room and jacuzi.
The room we had was rather small but workable.
This could be an amazing hotel but just not qute there yet.
This property is in a great location but the condition of the communal areas in particular are a real let down.As a family with young children, we were particularly put off by the pool and dire state of the changing facilities where most of the showers were out of order as well as the policy to allow dogs, all dogs irrespective of how dangerous they are, into the hotel. On one of the days, we were so concerned about the dog barking ferociously at the reception desk, that we were unable to leave our room for 20 minutes or so.We won't stay again but have to give credit to the really lovely lady at reception who was friendly and approachable at all times.A very basic hotel that needs renovating badly!
