Clean room

The best place to stay when in Bujumbura. Located in the hills overlooking the city centre. Very safe. Very big rooms with excellent air conditioning. Ask for room with a view of lake Tanganyika in the distance. Very pleasant restaurant with nice breakfast buffet. Very pleasant swimming pool with large parasols.

Roca Golf hotel is in a lovely location but it is poor value for money. Perhaps they rely too much on people being close to the golf course. Anyway, the pool water is too opaque and I could not swim in it, but I chose Roca because of its pool and location. Either the chemicals used to clean it are not the best because the water is almost milky white. And prices at the hotel are exorbitant. I paid US$8.33 for a single, small scoop of ice-cream. And the hotel charges US$50 for transport from airport to hotel when the market rate of taxis at the airport is only US$20. Given the city in which it is located, Roca's prices are out of context.

Good hotel in good location

Clean and comfortable, but there is a roof top bar and check events beforehand as we had loud music until 4:30am one night!

Clean rooms. Hot water. Good air conditioner. Good Internet. Friendly helpful staff. Food was expensive.

Property looks nice from outside but the inside is not properly cared for. The curtains are misplaced. They are dusty. The bathroom is not fixed. The showers are not fixed. The dinner was terrible. I was served half rotten chicken and i still paid for it.
