First...we had a lovely time in Buffalo. Nearly everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful to out-of-towners like us. The room was very nice and quiet. Unfortunately, we did inadvertently leave some clothing when packing up to continue our journey. We realized this when we were about 3 hours down the road (on an 8 hr drive) and called the hotel immediately. Long story short, it was quite frustrating to finally get our left belongings on the way to us. (11 days after we left the hotel, the clothing is finally being sent). Communication(s) seem to be the biggest issue. The staff was pleasant, but difficult to understand (could barely understand or hear the person(s) on the phone). They were experiencing trouble with their computer system which took nearly 4 days to correct. (I would think this would be a bad thing for a hotel to experience Wi-Fi/computer issues for even a fraction of that time) We had already completed our vacation travels before actually being able to have our belongings sent. (it will take another 7-10 days for delivery) Tips for this hotel... Staff members who answer phones and/or communicate with travelers, should at 'minimum', be able to speak "English" fluently and "speak up". Most of the woes were attributed to poor communication skills.

The location is perfect and central to everything! It’s walking distance to Buckhorn State Park, however, without sidewalks, it’s a minute or two drive from the hotel. Like most Holiday Inn Hotels, this location was clean and quiet. Staff were friendly and attentive. Housekeeping did a great job refreshing our room daily. We stayed here for a week. The continental breakfast is always a hit! Overall, I would stay here again. My only recommendations would be: 1) make sure that the outlets next to the beds works! While there are usb outlets to recharge cell phones, they are mostly for the older iPhones so I had to plug my phone in the outlet at the desk and away from the nightstand. 2. While the bathroom was clean, the bases of the shower is starting to show some signs of age, like rust. It could use some refreshing 3. While it’s no fault of the hotel’s, you have to pay toll to get from one area to another. Just remember the hotel like most places in New York is located on an island, hence your toll money keeps the bridges safe as you travel across the various islands. Overall, I would stay again with ZERO hesitation.

This is the first accessible hotel we’ve been to that had a shower chair included which was incredibly helpful. Great amount of bars to hold with rubber backed grips and walk in Shower without any lip/ledge which was important for my friend who can’t lift her leg. This gave her full independence.

Niagara Falls Visit
We enjoyed the location as it was away from the hustle of the city, but close by to everything. The roof top patio was very nice along with the food and drinks. The buffet breakfast gave us a great start each morning.
