The room was very clean and the decor was very nice. The fireplace made it very cozy which we were looking for. It was a nice quiet getaway for 1 night to celebrate my husbands birthday

Maintenance on pool caused entire property to stink of paint VOCs Random sawing and hammering noises throughout the day. Front desk took over 1000$ in holds on credit card for a 310$ stay, GM is never available by phone and doesn’t respond to emails, room manager is never on site, front desk staff lie and misrepresent themselves. Avoid this hotel if you’re not flush with cash and willing to deal with his headache.

My overall three star rating was based on - Expedia advertised the property as having an indoor/outdoor pool. I was not initially made aware of the pool repair and it subsequently being out of commission until March 2025, until after I reserved our room. My wife was looking forward to use of the pool as advertised on Expedia. The paint fumes and other chemical smells from the pool renovation fumigated the entire building ( some sections were better than others). My wife and I had to change rooms because the fumes were so strong in our original room that it gave us headaches. We were relocated to a satisfactory room by the gracious hotel staff after I informed them of the problem. My breakfast from the restaurant was done wrong and when my new order came the home fries were under cooked. (The potatoes were cooked on the outside and raw in the middle). Eddie the kitchen staff was so kind I didn’t have the heart to send it back a second time.

The hotel has charm and they have done a very good job to make it appealing with a themed bar, nice boutique shop and a restaurant with character. The rooms are small and do not include a mini fridge. We had to ask for one from housekeeping and were charged $25 for it's use. The hallways and lobby area were very clean and well kept with fresh paint, wallpaper and carpet. The pool is under maintenance until March and the awful smell of paint and paint thinner filled the hallways. It was not so bad inside the rooms though. We had brunch at the restaurant and they have a lovely brunch menu with more than just the basics. The scones and croissants and jams were delicious and the individual French press coffee was a nice touch. The Valentine's themed Cupid's Lounge was well done with several insta-worthy backdrops. We did not dine in the igloos or cozy cabins, but they looked appealing. There was a fire pit lit every night, and s'mores kits available in the boutique. The location of this hotel made it easy to walk to both the Casino/OLG Stage area as well as Clifton Hill and the Falls we walked all three places, even in the blustery blizzard. Outside parking on site is extra $35 per night. Across the street is a large lot for $10. We parked at the casino to keep our car indoors and free from snow during the storm. Prices vary by day at the casino, but you only pay on the way out, whatever the price is for that day. We saw prices of $60, $50 and paid $40 when we lef

Looks better online than in real life

As soon as you walk in you get hit with the smell of paint thinner. The foyer looks better in the photos on line than in real life. Front desk staff was not very polite. Check in was quick though. The paint thinner smell was everywhere and when we got into our room our heads were already sore from the smell. I asked my husband to open the window to help with it. The windows are sealed shut! The room is weird. The furniture and art work doesn’t match, so it looks like they randomly put items in there. The pillows are lumpy and uncomfortable. We won’t be back.

The room wasn't what we expected from the pictures. It was impossible to use the pool as the room and the water were too cold. Everything is old.

Very quaint hotel with cute cafe and store and lovely dining room. Really nice side area with little cabins and fire places, however it was all closed during our midweek stay. The restaurant was closed for a private function which was annoying, They are dog friendly which is great. However,$35 plus $18 per night for parking and resort fee is way over the top for that hotel. We would however say it’s a nice spot and would go back.

Lovely hotel, have stayed here repeatedly. I don’t recall having to pay for parking in the past and honestly, $35 to park just seems ridiculous when you guys have a competing lot literally across the street for $10. You are not downtown although certainly downtown adjacent and paying to park is just silly.
