Great place to stay! We stayed 1 night and loved watching the boats go by right on the balcony! Very clean and quiet. We loved the city of thorold. It was fun to walk around the area. Great dining options walkable to hotel as well.

The hotel is clean; safe and convenient. Very quiet with a very comfortable bed. Within walking distance of the Thorold town centre and perhaps a 10 minute drive to all the best shopping and dining options in St Catharines.

This motel is in an excellent location to view the ships passing through Lock 7. The room is very clean and a good size. The hotel is very dated, bedding, curtains, abd furniture BUT dont let that deter you from staying here. This was our second visit and we will continue to visit yearly. Staff were kind, friendly and helpful.

Owners and staff are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are spotlessly clean and it felt like a brand new mattress. It is a dated property with cinderblock walls, an old bathroom, and windows that didn’t work well. But I would still stay here again when I’m in the area because it’s so neat to be able to watch the ships on the canal from your balcony or even your bed!

We planned on attending two shows at the Shaw Festival plus a day of hiking on the Bruce Trail. The location was perfect for both activities- a 25 minute drive to Niagara on the Lake and 15 minutes to the trail head. Also , the inn is four blocks from the old downtown. Check out the Early Bird for breakfast and Donnelly’s for dinner. The Inn’s rooms are basic, but big, bright and super clean with fresh paint and new carpeting. The view of the canal from our balcony was great. We spent quite awhile watching the ships traverse the canal.

The inn is excellent for peace and tranquility. Unique and one of a kind. Very nice, clean, and comfortable. The view from our room was spectacular, as we enjoy viewing the vessels, and cruises hips right at the moment they were passing through lock 7. An amazing experience who are passionate about maritime transportation. The staff is very polite, and courteous. We truly had an amazing time at the inn.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay! The view of the locks was incredible, and watching ships pass through was such a unique experience - could view right from your own balcony. The inn is older but clean, comfortable, and fairly priced. Friendly staff made check-in easy and welcoming.
