A unique old hotel with tons of character in a wonderful town, all discovered by needing a place with parking not far from the Nice airport. Maybe not for folks who want a familiar brand-name experience, which can be found almost anywhere. La Lubiane is more quaint with not very contemporary style. Think old furniture and carpeting. But the vibe for us was like a 1950s French movie and the terrace alone had a view, of mountains and the old bridge, that was incredible. A perfect spot for coffee or wine and maybe trying to write like Hemingway. They even had free vintage postcards of the place and were generous in letting us use the bathroom and parking after checkout. In short, La Lubiane and Vence were unexpected highlights of a European trip that had many.
