Charming oceanfront hotel! Our room had an ovean view which was breathtaking, was spacious and very comfortable for our family of 3. The location was very convenient, with a variety of restaurants and shops within easy walking distance.

Great view of ocean and Nice esplanade. Lovely room and service, however the mattress was far too firm. This made for an uncomfortable nights sleep for 2 nights. The buffet breakfast was fantastic. Great variety. Hotel is in good location for cafes & o but a fair walk to old town and harbour. 20-30 minute walk up to top of hill for fabulous views.

We are regular visitors to Nice and typically rent an apartment, but on this occasion we needed a one night stop on our itinerary. We chose The Royal based on location, which is ideal to explore Nice. We also wanted a sea view, which did not disappoint. The reception team on check in and check out were warm and professional. The room however, was tired and run down with stains on every surface - the carpet, the ceiling, the walls, the furniture. The bathroom had a new-ish sink and everything else was worn - chose not to take a shower. Balcony was dirty with crumbs of food. King bed was comfortable enough but only 2 pillows provided, so not ideal to read or watching tv. Basic kettle with teabags, no coffee facilities. Bottle of spring and sparkling water and box of cookie offered were complimentary. We didn’t partake of the breakfast at €18/person. We paid approximately $400.00 cad for the evening and while not crazy money for the location, based on the one thing that ultimately counts - the room - certainly not a bargain. Would not return.

The hotel location was absolutely perfect—we had an ocean view, and it was amazing to wake up every morning to the beautiful Nice Beach right in front of us. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful; when we asked them to book a taxi to the airport, they handled it immediately. Our room was a great size for three people—very clean, spacious, and comfortable, with plenty of room for our three suitcases. The breakfast was also a great convenience and added a nice touch to our stay. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely go back!

Loved the beach front room!!! It’s an absolute must to wake up with the breathtaking view of the Mediterranean. Everything was walkable, staff were friendly and was the perfect location.
