The property is in a very convenient location. Shopping and bars are directly across the street. The food is typical all inclusive food but I would say it’s above average. The only issue I had was that one of the rooms wasn’t prepared when I went to the room. I called and they rectified the issue immediately. The staff is very responsive and accommodating. I would definitely stay at this property again.

The location was great, in walking distance to local shopping. The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was the same just about every day, small things that mean a lot to people were lacking, know ice on your floor many times, cleaning around elevator's where people leave used items, the hotel needs some updating to there rooms.

I'll start off with the positives: every restaurant we went to for dinner on this resort. The restaurant staff was amazing. The Italian restaurant was fantastic along with the Mexican food restaurant, the sangria and the Mexican food restaurant was amazing. The buffets we had no complaints as the staff and the food selection was good. Another shout out to the bellhops as they are most happy, energetic folks and offered good information whom they ask about the island. One last shout out to the bartenders in the pool areas as they were very nice and talkative . We tipped all these people very well during our stay. Unfortunately, here's a negative: We checked in at 5:00 p.m. were not greeted by anybody other than the bellhops who were fantastic. Front desk staff acted like they were overwhelmed. Another concern is everybody's copies of their passportswere sitting in the wide open while we are checking in, easily stolen people's identity. That is a major concern. We checked into our room after being awake for hours due to flight issues, ate a decent dinner. Then at 10:00 p.m. we had a knock on the door. It was our welcome bottle of wine they forgot. We kindly accepted even though we were awakened exhausted. Went back to bed and was woken up about 11:30 with a room squatter that would refuse to leave, a fight out in the hallway that security had to get involved in. Just fell back asleep and shortly after midnight the fire alarm system went off. Overall Barcelo fell well short

Bed bug

Our stay started well until Day two my partner noticed bites which he thought was mosquito bites. Day 3 he noticed more bites. We checked the sheets. Which we should have done day 1 but we were thinking this is a nice hotel and did not see anything. He was still getting bit so we looked again and there it was a bed bug clear as day. We made a video and took pictures and immediately went to the front desk to advise them of this issue. The Manager acted quickly and was accommodating and moved us to a new room but it took about 3 hours for them to get the room ready. So we waited and waited. I requested our clothes be washed which they agreed to. I appreciate the room change, however my partner walking around with bed bug bites to his face, nose, arms and back.I requested compensation for the time that was taken away from what should have been such a wonderful time. I waited to see if hotel would respond favorably. I did get an email 3 days later stating they would reimburse for one day and then the next day they changed the response to no compensation because there were no bed bugs after pest control investigated. So I believe they think we brought the bugs and faked the whole ordeal because I was told.. “Under no circumstances were there bed bugs in the room. So that is how this was handled. I felt insulted and upset that I was treated like I stayed at a 2 star hotel.

I found blood on the sheets. Couldn’t even get a refund on the res because it was non-refundable. The hotel is very outdated and needs renovations bad. Food was not good. They also do not treat their guests the same due to royal level. Saw a group arrive and receive welcome drinks. I never received one of those. Considering I paid $2500 for this property to stay 5 nights. I AM APPALLED. The bathroom shower handle also fell off. They never restocked my fridge. Asked them to bring drinks up and they never did. This hotel sucks. :( the only good thing was the location. Even the free parking was annoying. Had to wait in a long line everytime to leave hotel with your car cuz you needed front desk to validate. Very dissatisfied with this property and not recommending to others. Very disappointed.

Not bad but definitely not the best resort on Palm Beach. The beach and water area is overpowered by the motorized sports vessels that degrade the natural beauty of the area, and the beach (sand) does not get cleaned. As a results you can find all sorts of trash on the ground, including but not limited to cigarette and cigar butts, straws, plastic bags, baby wipes, etc. In addition large and at times aggressive (especially towards children) stray dogs take over beach chairs and tikis (mind you shade is hard to find at this resort to begin with) making it even harder to enjoy a relaxing morning or afternoon on the beach. The resort management does nothing to keep the beach area clean and safe for all guests.

Overall for the price the food was limited and flavorless. The staff was polite but incompetent. We didn’t get out room until 7:30pm the day of arrival even after checking in at 4:00om. When asked for a late check out the day of departure the staff checked us out a day early. We came back from an excursion to find our room keys deactivated at 1:00 a day before our scheduled check out. Housekeeping doesn’t replenish the supplies and you are expected to use the same towels your whole stay, if they take them they don’t replenish the ones taken and barely sweep up the sand from bedroom areas. Very disappointing for the price

Unfortunately, the check-in process at this hotel was extremely disappointing. We arrived on time for our reservation, but had to wait over 3 hours. The front desk staff seemed unorganized and unprepared, and there was no clear communication about the delay. After a long day of travel, the lack of professionalism and courtesy made a poor first impression. While the room itself was acceptable, the check-in experience set a negative tone for the stay. I hope management addresses this issue to improve the guest experience, especially with Natalie , needs to be properly trained . Cleaning staff also left my Room open once dccc I’ll lgggk
