We really liked the hotel overall. The service was good, everything was clean, and there were plenty of fun activities. The only downside was the long wait at the restaurants — the buffet was actually better.

This resort is definitely not like what it looks online. Some parts yes but other parts no. My room for example, what I booked vs what I walked into. Two completely different looks! Wasn’t at all what I expected. Family resort and no games or fun? Where’s the entertainment team? Room was cleaned and left with no towels? Called and requested, put in on the app & even went down to the front desk. Had to wait an hour for a shower and was stuck with eating at the buffet!!! If you’re not in line by 5:20/5:30 you’re not eating at a specialty restaurant forget about it. We got there at 6 first night and the lady said “we’re closed”. All I could do was laugh. Suppose to be vacation and I have to fight for a place in line for dinner? Not relaxing at all. The towel lady is always so miserable. She handed me a towel with blood spots on it and got an attitude when I asked for a new one. Why not just throw it away? Drinks are ehh.. just get something on the rocks. Not the best bartenders for mixing drinks, everything I had was just not it. Nothing was balanced. Overall, Aruba was nice. Weather was good, beach was clean, ocean was clear as day. But I don’t recommend staying here. I’m also a RIU elite member. I’ve stayed at tons of other locations and this is by far the worse one. They definitely need some help. Very disappointing honestly especially when you pay $$$$ for an all inclusive.

Riu Palace was very nice! Food and staff were excellent! There was a little water damage in the room shower ceiling that might be an issue in the future, but other than that, the room was great. The pool, great and the beach activities were also one of the best i have experienced.

I recently stayed at the Riu Palace Aruba and overall, I would consider my experience average. The rooms were very spacious, which I loved, but the furniture felt a bit outdated. The hotel itself was extremely clean, and the location is one of its biggest strengths, it’s right next to most of the popular party spots and the busy beach area. You can easily walk, rent an e-scooter right out front, or take a taxi for about $15 USD. If you’re able to walk, I definitely recommend it to explore the area. As far as food, I can only speak on breakfast and the American Country Sports Bar since I did excursions during lunch and dinner and also had a birthday dinner off-site. The food I did try was just okay. The sports bar has very limited seating and they don’t allow take-out, so you may end up waiting for a spot. Room service was another downside. The menu was very limited with not much variety compared to other all-inclusive resorts I’ve stayed at. I also wasn’t greeted with a welcome drink or offered help with my bags, although I noticed the group behind me received that service, which felt inconsistent. Overall, despite a few inconveniences, the stay wasn’t bad. The location and cleanliness were the highlights, but the food variety, room service, and small service inconsistencies kept it from being great.

Never made it on the trip. The Riu took $2500. However we never made it due to personal reasons. Expedia and our travel insurance through Expedia would not do anything about it. I will be canceling my Expedia and the travel insurance company from further terrible experiences. Absolutely disgusted with Expedia and the third-party travel insurance

Rooms were very outdated. They haven’t maintained the property at all. No service at the beach, you need to go and pickup the drinks by yourself. They’re trying to save costs everywhere.

The hotel was generally very good! Pros: 1. Beach front location, beautiful and very convenient. 2. Walkable to access to the local restaurants and shopping stores. 3. Food and beverage were excellent. The food was generally very delicious, and as an all-inclusive hotel, the quality of the alcoholic drinks was decent/good. 4. The bath towels in the room and the beach towels were all warm, dry, and clean. Cons: 1. Room facilities were quite mediocre. The sofa was very dirty, the chair was old, and the bed linen wasn't very clean. 2. They did not provide any disposable amenities, such as bar soap or shower caps (which is quite environmentally friendly). 3. Air conditioning had a moldy/musty smell, suffocating!

I like the location of property. Beach is beautiful and well maintained. Room service also delivered birthday cake since it was my birthday so that was very nice. The drinks and snacks throughout hotel were great and the waitstaff were extremely polite. The room cleanliness is not great. Our room smelled very musty, we found dead bugs in bed and the shower was not draining. I called reception to get shower repaired and was told they would be in room shortly. I left for dinner and came back 4 hours later and still not repaired. I called again and was told someone would come next day. We also tried changing rooms but were told we couldn’t do so until 2 days later. All restaurants were closed from 3-5 so our only option was room service, which took over an hour.
