Ok for starters… the windows were dirty, smudges all over the glass, the fridge was so small and positioned in a horrible spot… you fit two water bottles in it and then it’s full…there was soap sum in the shower on the glass door running the length of it from top to bottom… visible and disgusting to see… it looked as if the floors in the bathroom area had been swept and instead of being picked up it was swept up against the wall and the bathroom door to hide it…. I know the hotel staff really can’t control loud tenants but people partying in the hallway being loud and screaming ,while your trying to relax after a flight is pretty irritating…maybe it was just my key card but the outside door to the second level parking garage didn’t open or recognize my card so I had to drive around looking for proper parking after paying for onsite parking…housekeeping doesn’t seem to friendly after hearing the bad mouth other staff and working conditions,problems with the property and tenants on the property.. I would look at other properties before coming back,

The hotel itself and front staff was nice. In my experience the housekeeping lacked. Everything was not cleaned and the beds and towels were thrown together which gives the impression that the sheets might not be clean. They do throw away food which is understandable to a point however they threw away my daughter’s new formula out after I had left and by time I noticed, a couple of hours later, it was gone. Which formula (the biggest can) is very expensive and we did have a long ride home which seems to me they did not care whether an infant ate or not.

I was very disappointed with my stay at Delta Hotels by Marriott Virginia Beach on 05/23/25. Upon arrival, I was overlooked during check-in even though I had been waiting longer than the person who was assisted before me. The front desk staff did not provide the level of courtesy I expected. My room (407) was missing basic items like trash bags and toiletries, and the door only closed properly if the handle was held a certain way—making it feel unsafe. This stay fell far below the Marriott standard, and I would not recommend this property.

Clean up your beach

Beach and public spaces were dirty. The hotel is expensive to be on the beach that is not taken care of. Also, the add ons of trying to move people on the beach to sell your chairs and umbrellas is obnoxious. The parking lot is $30.00 and the spaces are so tiny, it’s hard to get out of your car. Finally, the restaurant has slipped from our previous visit. The food is not great and really expensive.

I think it’s ridiculous to pay $30 a night for parking and you have to be an Elite or Platinum customer to go in the pantry that they seem to have on every floor. Definitely won’t come back.

I was very disturbed by the facility along with its personnel. What started off as a good trip to celebrate my birthday ended with my having to checkout early due to issues at the facility and personnel not getting eager to accommodate me. I took a shower the morning after I checked in and was met with a brown substance dripping from the ceiling vent, which grossed me out and also made me feel very insecure regarding my health (AS I HAVE VERY VERY BAD ALLERGIES, etc.). I proceed to go down to the front desk, where I met Tia and immediately asked for accommodations because I didn’t feel safe in the room that I was in. She told me that “knowledge is power”(DEFINITELY A MICROAGGRESSION), that the hotel was fully booked and to wait for the engineer to come. So, I waited for engineer to come. He came and proceeded to clean the vent and toilet without offering any knowledge on the situation. After that, I returned to the front desk and told Tia, the clerk, that her engineer didn’t have any knowledge or power to offer me and since I didn’t feel safe, I was forced to leave the facility. I definitely will not be staying here again or recommending it to anyone that I know.
