Housekeeping was very inattentive. Shower curtain was filthy with what appeared to be blood stained. It took multiple efforts to have housekeeping bring a set of bedding to make up the sofa bed. When we received said bedding, the duvet was filthy. The room itself was spacious and the views were nice.

My stay was amazing. The views are breathtaking and even when there was an issue with my room (no hot water), the staff was extremely accommodating and quick with a resolution to my problem. I will absolutely be back.

Only issues is the fact that they mislead you about the Starbucks. It’s not a real Starbucks so don’t expect to use your gift card or get any points. Also I booked for $353.81 but was charged $495

From the website through Expediia it did not reveal that there was a $30 per day parking charge, and it did not indicate that breakfast was not included in the reservation price. If I had known this ahead of time I would have looked for a different hotel!

Property is beautiful on semi private beach. The view of the Chesapeake Bay is breathtaking! The room design is spacious but something caused us to sneeze a lot. Dirty carpet or pet in the room resulted in us checking out early. Hotel wouldn’t refund or offer any solution. Paid over 200.00 for about 8 hr stay. Restaurant and the staff were Great! Read fine print regarding early checkout fees.

Our big problem was the darkness of the living room. The wall switch next to the door did not turn anything on. Eventually we found the lamp switches for the lights beside the sofa. However only one had a working bulb but it very dim. We were traveling with friends, the husband has macular degeneration and their room was so dark he could not see well enough to move safely.

When I checked in on December 30th with Ashley she was very attentive and knowledgeable being that it was my first time staying at the property so that was a plus! I walked around to explore the property the next day staff wasn’t friendly at all I asked could my room be serviced while I was out and about came back to my surprise room wasn’t cleaned I had placed my towels and sheets outside the door I had to wait 2 hrs to get new towels and sheets also the pull out my son was on had a bad smell so that’s was another downgrade. Also i didn’t like that I had to pay 30 a night for parking which was crazy to park my own vehicle!! I like the location of the hotel and the areas I did see was really nice! The plus for me is checking out I let Ashley know about what I experienced and she was able to give some Marriott points for my stay so that was really nice!!!Ashley was great to me and my son. But the staff at night Sarah I shouldn’t have to keep calling for towels just wasn’t right! When I sent my son down to get them she was like I’ll have the guy come up to wait 2 hrs!! Stating she sent him a message but he didn’t see it. Sorry for the trash overflow in my room but I was there 3 days no room service!! Next time I’ll just bring my own trash bag!

Some Pros, but some Cons

Positives: Wonderful fresh scent as you enter the lobby & throughout the hallways, staff was welcoming with quick check in, Rooms were spacious & clean! Negatives: Bed was more firm than preferred, lighting was poor in the bathroom vanity area which made it difficult to do hair & makeup, charged for self parking which I thought was unusual (and IMO expensive at $30/night), parking garage was VERY narrow & tight, and according to their itinerary, there was no breakfast M-F.
