The Doubletree is our go to hotel when traveling and the Doubletree is Virginia Beach is great. We have two suggestions… 1) offer the customer a paper copy of their invoice so they could check the charges before leaving the hotel. 2) clean up the parking garage. No one wants to walk by discarded furniture, appliances etc in the stairwell to retrieve their car.

Rooms are overpriced for the size and their age. Due to the wind the air coming through the room was whistling at the door. Hotel is showing its age. No complimentary continental breakfast included for a room that's over $100 a night more than others of similar age. Was underwhelmed with the hotel. Also, TV did not work well and the service tech had to change a cable. Will not return to this hotel.

Location was good. Need to pay attention to condition of the place. Safe was closed, lock in the door was faulty, some members of front desk not cooperative and created unnecessary rules. Valet was good and helpful, ac made lot of noise.

This did not live up to Hilton standards. When arriving at 10PM, the guy at the front was wearing a dirty sweater and eyes were red, no smile or anything. The room we had was 221 and right away noticed a dirty ceiling and batteries in the tv remote were dead. I texted room service for batteries and cleaning product but was told would need to wait until morning so went the night with no TV. The next day received a text from a woman who was very nice and switched our room to 218 and said we wouldnt have any issues in that room... well the TV remote worked but that night was greeted by several golf ball size roaches out on the balcony! A red roach bit my partner, we couldnt even enjoy going outside to view the ocean in fear of the roaches! Also the room had tiny bugs in the corners of the ceiling and the bed frames were loaded with dirt and hair! Everything felt dirty and we still had to purchase wipes to clean while on vacation. The parking garage is filthy, the ground is black with more roaches and trash, walking from the parking garage accross the street to the room is a filthy experience! Also i was worried about my car sitting there over night. Finally, we wanted to get in the pool but it was freezing cold, cloudy, and the top had a layer of oil and particles like it isnt cleaned regularly. I would not recommend this hotel at this time. We were disappointed and was expecting much better from a hilton.

-The Double tree looks to have been remodeled in the last few years. It looks pretty, but there’s some minor things that could have been better. Loose tiles at the pool, mildew spots on the balcony. Nothing terrible, just noticeable. -I was pleased with the cleanliness of the room, beds, and bathroom. The TV was one of the best that I’ve seen in a hotel. -The staff were friendly, though not super helpful. 3/5 stars because it was an enjoyable stay, but could be improved.

Hotel provided great service and hotel staff was great and knowledgeable of the area. Only concern i had was with valet. The guy at night never locked my vehicle when he parked my car. I noticed my car was unlocked when we walked passed it coming from breakfast the next day.
