This property was disgusting. There were pubic hairs all over our shower right when we checked in. The window shades were broken and would pull down so our window stayed open and had to use pillows to block out the light. And the peep hole to our door was broken. I told the front desk staff and said we can move you to a different room. We were headed out to dinner so I said when we get back weā€™re pack and move. When we got back it was a new front desk lady and when I told her the situation she said ā€œsorry Iā€™m new, I donā€™t know what to doā€

Breakfast staff was lovely friendly and accommodating. I complained sheets had blood on them, small nickel size spot. Was told possibly bed bugs, and housekeeping would take care of it. Housekeeping left stack clean towels only. In evening when I returned I called front desk and they said they would tell maintenance. Maintenance came a nice man brought a stack of sheets. It was obvious he was uncomfortable to enter which made sense. So I replaced the sheets myself. I looked for signs of bed bugs, didnā€™t see any. Upon checking out, I mentioned my experience again, I was told something would happen. Nothing happened. I always choose this location and hotel. Sadly this feels bad.

Property is old and run down. Terrible lighting in the bathroom. Carpet smelly and dirty. Tub/shower looked like it was caulked by a 6 year old. But, the staff was friendly. Definitely would not stay here again.

My sister and I stayed at this property a week ago for our nephew's graduation. The entire staff was friendly and respectful. The property was clean, and the breakfast selection was good. Jacob and Ashley went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant.

My review of the Hampton Inn in Norfolk Chesapeake Dysfunctional AC is loud and runs too hot or too cold Dirty AC unit and the bathroom is not the best Loud and squeaky bathroom exhaust fan The room is small and appears dated. The staff is friendly and helpful when you have a concern.

Quick Trip

Quick overnight stay--would like to have a USB port to charge my Apple watch. Most hotels offer this now. Also, the in-room coffee was AWFUL! The service was great, as was the comfort of the bed.

No working ac/heat/fan in room. Wall thermostat and floor unit in front of the window. Neither worked. I need some kind of fan and air flow in hotels to sleep. Too much hallway and outside noise. Also hard to get ready after showering in a hot room.
