Our recent stay was disappointing, though the staff’s kindness was a bright spot. The front desk clerk was very sweet and accommodating, but the overall state of the hotel left much to be desired. Our first room had a broken air conditioner, making it uncomfortably hot. Maintenance was unable to fix it, so we were moved to another room. Unfortunately, the second room also had issues—there was no water running to the toilet. With the hotel fully booked, we had no choice but to make do until the morning. What was most concerning was the cleanliness of the first room. Our daughter pointed out what we believed to be bodily fluids on a chair, which was extremely unsettling and suggested a lack of proper cleaning after the previous tenant. This was especially disappointing as we stayed here last year and had a much better experience. However, the hotel is now undergoing construction on the side where we stayed, and it seems to have negatively impacted its upkeep. While the staff was friendly and did their best to assist, management urgently needs to address these maintenance and cleanliness issues. A thorough deep cleaning of Room 417 is especially necessary. The staff’s efforts helped make the situation more manageable, but the state of the rooms was unacceptable, and I hope management takes immediate steps to improve.

Upon our arrival at the hotel, we were surprised to find no mention of ongoing renovations on either the hotel’s website or the third-party booking site. Accessing the front of the hotel with a vehicle was quite challenging due to extensive construction work taking place. The check-in process was relatively smooth, but upon reaching our room, which was advertised as having two double beds with a full ocean view, we discovered that we had been assigned a room with double beds overlooking the pool and only a partial view of the ocean. I returned to the front desk to address this discrepancy, but despite presenting evidence of my reservation, they refused to accommodate my request for the room I had paid for, leaving me with no option but to accept the situation. Upon inspecting the room, as I typically do in hotels, I found trash and candy under the beds, and the toilet leaked water onto the floor every time it was flushed. The curtains appeared to have been soiled, and the mechanism for opening and closing them was carelessly placed on the air conditioner. Additionally, the constant construction noise disrupted any hope of peace during our stay, which was one of the primary reasons for our visit. The hotel’s layout posed a significant safety concern, as there was only one entrance and exit, raising alarms about potential fire hazards. The front desk staff informed us that the side door and the beach access were both not accessible. There is so much more…

The front desk girl called us rude and yelled at us for going through a door to the pool. She was horrible. I asked to speak to the manager and she cussed me out and went to the back room. The most unprofessional staff member who should NEVER work in Customer Service! She ruined our trip! This place is NASTY! I felt unsafe. Terrible!!!!!!

We got there really late, The man at the desk waited on the men first before me, and I was second in line which was BS, then he gave us a room with a broken air conditioner. So I called and he changed our room. The walls going to the rooms need fixed, and the lights flickered all the way down, I have seizures so it wasn't good for me. The towels were so thin. No towel racks in the bathroom. The chair on the balcony was stained and filthy, and the walls on the balcony was cracked. Parking is across the street, he never told us to load and unload right there at the entrance of the hotel instead of dragging all of our stuff from the parking area. Poor customer service. First time we stayed there and the last time we stay there. Do better!!

Cockroaches take priority
Prior to checking in I called to make sure they had rooms available because I had to leave a different hotel late in the evening due to general safety concerns and bug issues. The man working insured me they had rooms available and he would be happy to accommodate my needs, so I booked and went to check in. Upon checkin the man told me that hotels.com did not charge me correctly and it would be more money which he ended up saying that was incorrect but there would be a $10.00 parking fee which I agreed to. I ran my card and they charged me for the full 2 night stay at $133.40 overdrafting my checking account. He insured it would be resolved by morning. The next day the woman I spoke with could not help me and told me no would have to wait for management on Monday. Management basically kicked me out of the hotel and refused to honor the total of $280 I was charged. On top of that…my door lock wouldn’t work, the faucet in the bathroom was broken, the toilet ran all night and I was paid a late night visit by cockroaches. All in all it was a horrible traumatic experience leaving me with no where to stay in which I ended up sleeping in my car. The hotel manager told me that the cockroaches were a normal part of being close to the beach….ARE YOU KIDDING ME? She refused to refund me the money for the double charge. I left in tears. Hotels.com made it right issuing me a full refund of the $134.00 in rewards I had used. Again, HOTELS.CON SAVED THE DAY!

First, the location had a bar outside, which made a very noisy to relax and get some peace and quiet second, I asked for a room, not on the first floor. They cannot accommodate that.. They gave me a room that was handicap accessible. I didn’t ask for that. I asked for a room that wasn’t every request. I asked for they couldn’t accommodate, but I checked in early and they could have given me another room. The pillows were very deflated.

Property was run down. Peeling paint and dirty furniture. Rails on Curtains were broken so you couldn't close or open them. Bathroom door was broken and couldn't open even without locking it.
