Everything was clean and it was quiet. The food was delicious and my husband loved the bar. It was close to the Cedar Grove parking lot for our cruise. Will definitely stay there again in the future.

Not worth the nightly price

Way too expensive for what you get. It’s marketed to look like a nice place but it really isn’t. The beds were clean and the staff at the front desk and restaurant were very friendly however the room was not great overall. Outdated bathroom, trash still in trash cans, the suite was a strange set up, and the headboard was messed up. All it took was a simple push to fix it. It isn’t worth what they charge. Need more amenities and attention to detail in the rooms themselves including the cleaning.

Bathroom towels weren’t clean. Elevator smelled terrible. Only 1 out of 4 elevators were working. Charged double after booking on Expedia and had to talk to front desk twice to get charges removed. Exterior doors were supposed to be locked and only accessible by room key and they were not locked/open to the public.

When we got to the hôtel, the elevator was down, we couldn't check in till about almost 6pm. The bartender and cook was the only reason we stayed. But when we got to the room, hours later we notice roaches, Killing one after the other. We left about 7am that morning. Never ever again will we stay here. We will come back on the weekend to buy a drink from the wonderful lady bartender and get a meal.

They would not let us check in and sent us away. They said none of the elevators worked, our room was on the 6th floor and there was no one to help us with our luggage. I am 81 years old and my wife is 78. We had to find another hotel which cost us almost $200 more for our 2 nights than our reservation at the Wyndham. We willl never stay at a Wyndham again.

Horrible conditions

Only 1 of 4 elevators worked the entire trip and one of the days I stayed, the only working one completely shut down. I have severe asthma and I was on the 7th floor. Naturally this triggered an asthma attack as I couldn’t climb up the stairs. There was no news on when the elevator would work again or at all. The same day we also had suffered electrical glitches causing my room to get too hot despite the AC being on before the room cooled back down to normal. The rooms were NOT clean. The bathrooms were NOT cleaned properly. The furniture was tossed around haphazardly and I had to fix the couch cushions which were dirty. There were different threads and dust on the room corners too. The stay was not good and the entire time I was trying to find another place to stay. Also, even with a do not disturb sign on my door, housekeeping came and tried to wake me up at the crack of dawn. Unacceptable.

Property wanted to cancel reservations as I was arriving because of elevator problem. This would have given me no place to stay as i was in mid-flight towards Norfolk. I had to insist that i wanted to stay and wouldn't mind climbing some stairs! When i got there they had one elevator working at least but even this went off and on during my stay. Fortunately hotel refunded for the inconvenience. Still, i would recommend making sure the elevators work before booking at this location as it seems to be a frequent problem.

“You just can’t be in the room for free you know”

A lil mix up in the room I was put in, so we got asked a few times if we were in the room legitimately. Other than that, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean!!!

Only one of four elevators worked so we always had a long wait. The didnt have enough handicap parking. We had mold in the shower and wires hanging under the airconditioner. We found pills on the floor.

I stayed at this hotel for my college graduation, and the experience was nothing short of disappointing. The first room I checked into had multiple bugs everywhere—even on the towels. I showed the front desk footage of the issue, and they moved me one room over. When we inspected the new room, there was a live bird and a nest inside the AC unit, which I also captured on video. I contacted Expedia, but they did nothing to help. Since it was graduation weekend and there was only one day left, I requested another room with a late checkout at 1 PM. That room was fine, but the next morning at 11 AM, I got a call demanding that I leave—even though I was granted a late checkout. This hotel was far from clean, accommodating, or welcoming. I deserved better, especially on such an important weekend. I would not recommend staying here if you expect basic cleanliness and respect for your reservations.
