Excellent property. Awesome owner / Manager Nil. Very friendly and helpful. We were here 3 nights for Laconia Bikeweek. Many restaurants in walking distance. Nice courtyard with even a fire pit. Night manager Eban was a great source of local things to do and see. Even gave us a historical story of the railroad crash on Mt. Washington in the 70’s. Only issue is that we could not figure out on how to turn on the TV. We will return again.

I honestly don’t understand how this place has such great reviews. I am not someone who’s picky by any means. I’ve stayed in some questionable places. But we checked in and immediately left. Our room smelled horrible like stale cigarettes (even though there’s clear no smoking signs) and rot. The upholstered chair in our room had a spot on it that clearly looked like blood. We were so disgusted that we checked in, then spent $300 to stay somewhere else that night instead. The smell from the room stuck to us and we had to open the windows and air it out on the way to the new hotel we booked.

Our stay was excellent! After a terrible travel day, the warm greeting we received helped to change our mood. The room was extremely clean and well appointed. The mattress provided an excellent night’s sleep. The motel is older but very well maintained. You won’t find better accommodations for the price!

The room was clean, had decent space, the mini fridge and microwave were a plus. The decor was a bit dated, the only real downside was the john (toilet) felt like one was sitting on the floor - tough for the elderly (and handicapped)! Still, we would go again to this motel.
