Staff never cleaned the room, the outdoor balcony was filthy mold and dirt all over the little table and chairs with a plastic cup with cigarette butts in it and there is no smoking allowed. Towels were never brought up or extra cups for daily use. i asked twice to clean the room before they finally came and still didn't bring any cups. Pool coups have been cleaner.

This is our sixth time staying at the Golden Gables Inn and we were a little bit disappointed. The room and area was clean overall but our room had several house flies in it and smelled of cigarette smoke. We’ll likely return, hoping this was just a one-off.

I was super annoyed the internet did not work my first night there. I had some work I needed to do remotely and was unable. We decided since I couldn't work, to spend some time in the patio area and use the hot tub. The hot tub was not working so that was very disappointing. There was no breakfast here and having to walk to the main office for coffee was inconvenient and frustrating. I went to Dunkin for coffee instead but was very frustrated that I had to do so.

Excellent reception at front desk, both arriving and departing. It looked like an old motel that has been kept alive with updates and additions. It was clean, comfortable, and had all the in-room amenities except for a coffee-maker. There was coffee at the front, but beginning at 8:00am. The washer and dryer were not functioning, but the ice maker was great! It was close to everything in North Conway, including a laundromat across the street! (Need to take quarters with you, as its change machine was non-funzione!) All in all, this is a terrific place to stay! Excellent value and all you need! (If you don’t need coffee before 8am!) Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts are both within a half-mile, as are all the Outlets! It’s a prime location!

The room was fairly clean except we found a dried up pea and green bean under the table. It didn’t bother us but they should tell you that the railroad goes by a couple times a day during the day and shakes the building. I do bring my own Lysol wipes and clean the room and I was pleasantly surprised that I did not find any dirt on any of the surfaces that I cleaned. If road noise bothers you ask for a room in the back.

The hotel was clean. The air-conditioning worked great. We were in a room away from the main road so it was very quiet. My only suggestion for improvement would be to replace the bed. It was the most uncomfortable mattress i have slept on in a long time.

Great check in. Nice room. Housekeeping came in every day with new towels and cleaned out trash bins (that was very nice). Rooms are very clean and having a small little sitting area right outside the room was great at night to relax. Definately would stay again.

The property is older and the wear was obvious. The room was clean, even though the inside of the door and walls could have used some attention. There isn’t someone onsite at night so if you need anything late at night or early in the morning, you have to wait. The bed was comfortable, but the noise from other guests was continuous. All in all, it was fine.

This property is handy to everything in North Conway. It was noisy as our room was at the main level so the traffic was loud. The room was good but it was older. But all in all we were satisfied.
