Spacious Hotel, good grounds, clean and staff are very helpful. The restaurant was very busy at breakfast time, staff were slow at topping food up. Cleaning staff were excellent

Room for improvement

It wasn’t the best stay. The room was set up for 3 people when we had booked for 4, but it was quickly rectified. Although the next morning it took 2 phone calls to reception and 60 minutes to get a 4th towel. Noise travelled a bit too well-from the people playing midnight football outside our room to the person snoring in the next room. We were hot (often the case in hotels) and so we took the duvets out of the covers to use the covers as sheets, which worked well but revealed a number of stains on the duvets. The shower had been dripping all night and then in the morning the control was so stiff that we couldn’t turn it on, so all four of us had a bath. However the water was tepid. At breakfast, allergen information was available, but only in the foyer and not the restaurant. It was a 42 page PDF list of food and allergens, nothing searchable. It took 15 minutes to read. The other issue was that it didn’t match the food available and didn’t include drinks.

Stayed here with my family when visiting Nottingham, really good hotel in lovely grounds. Games room and pool which kept us all entertained. Really friendly staff, we would definitely stay again if in the area.

We had a very comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and efficient, and without any fuss. My only reservation was that some items on the breakfast menu were not replaced when they ran out, we had to ask several times for cutlery and the coffee machines were turned off early. This was our first stay at this hotel and was for one night. Next time we will probably stay for a weekend to take advantage of all the facilities and grounds.
