Everything was good abiut our stay at the Bentinck. Quiet, comfortable, clean, welcoming and unexpectedly continental breakfast was included in the already reasonable price.
Absolutely lovely hotel was noisy but was expected in that area but can’t fault how nice everyone was in the hotel such a warm welcome and couldn’t do enough for you would definitely recommend it

Quirky hotel, place itself could do with a little tlc but it's nice enough. However the rooms get really hot, the windows are only single glazed, there's no aircon or fans in the rooms. Therefore you have to leave the windows open in the summer. If you're unlucky enough to be facing the station entrance you will get tescos restocking at 5.30 in the morning and no sleep, never heard so much noise. Not the hotel's fault but they can do things to improve the situation like double glazing and having electric fans in the rooms if aircon is too much.
The hotel is in an incredibly convenient location if you're coming from the train station and are staying in the city center. It's interiors are a great mix of retaining the original historic features and updating for guest comfort. The employees were helpful and kind. Highly recommend!
Nice cozy hotel in city centre, clean and good price.

Overall a good one night stay. Location perfect if travelling my train (opposite the entrance). But also only a 3 minute walk from nearest multi storey car park if driving. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Room was comfortable and quiet although the fabric could do with a bit of attention which I will feedback to the hotel directly. Despite that, I would probably stay again.
Super convenient as just opposite the station. Also has just the nicest hotel bar to sit and have a drink in. Room was fine. Downside is no private bathroom, but obviously I knew that before booking and the shared bathrooms were no problem in that was always vacant when I wanted to use it. Would definitely stay there again when next I visit Nottingham

Convenient, clean, comfortable
Hotel is the top floors of an older hotel or inn so the entrance is a narrow staircase between a Starbucks and small Tesco. However, once you're upstairs the main dinning room/ bar/ reception is cozy and old fashioned. Check in was quick/easy, and our room (#9) was typical of this type of hotel. An old room with fireplace, converted to include a small internal bathroom w/ shower. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet despite it overlooking railway station and pedestrian precinct. Only odd thing was that the fan/ lights in the bathroom stayed on a long time (to vent the room) so ended up being white noise when you turned out the lights in the bedroom. Kettle and tea, lots of hangars, room in good condition. I'd recommend as a super convenient place to stay as an alternative to larger hotels in the city center. Staff super friendly and happy to store a bag for the next day. Continental breakfast was great, and there's also an excellent coffee shop round the corner (200 Degrees Coffee) if you need a top quality espresso to start the day.
I've only stayed for one night, but it's a great place and will definitely use it again if I go back to Nottingham. It's literally just opposite the train station, so super convenient, you do hear some traffic and people, but that's pretty much done by 10-11 pm. It certainly didn't impact my sleep.
The bed was super comfy and the staff were amazing. Really personable and happy to chat, they gave me some recommendations as well and just seemed like they enjoy working there.
My room was at the top floor, so climbing the stairs was just a bit draining after a long day, otherwise I'm super happy with my experience at the Bentinck. Highly recommend!
